IT Project Lead.

PMSM is looking for an enthusiastic IT Project Lead with strong technical background and analytical skills to lead further evolution of corporate Data Analytics solutions.
Data Analytics landscape consists of:
- Centralized reporting portal (based on Microsoft Power BI, 2000 users)
- Commercial data analysis systems (both bespoke Python-based and enterprise - ex. Anaplan)
- Data science landscape that supports DS-models lifecycle (Python stack with Celery, React, Apache Spark, Kubernetes)
This position offers full IT Product ownership in accordance with approved IT strategy, technical and logical architecture supervising and driving Products evolution in closest collaboration with business stakeholders to provide business value and decrease time-to-market for new developments. You will be responsible for Data Analytics landscape enhancements and evolution, management of dedicated and shared resources to achieve targets on given time and budget.
Being a Product Owner is not just about specific features delivery, but also about leading processes end-to-end, consolidating effort of multiple cross-functional teams in common pipeline, and seeing the full picture of how Products influence on the organization.
Responsibilities:
- IT Product ownership (backlog prioritization, tactical and strategic planning, budgeting and bidding, resources and release management)
- Be the solid bridge between business and IT, making sure business initiatives do not contradict the approved IT strategy
- Building development, quality assurance, deployment, and support processes, occasionally writing code
- Supervision of technical and logical architecture, evolution and optimization of the technical platform
- Collaboration with other IT product teams within the organization
- Risks assessment (technical, business and financial) and proactive mitigation
- Management of dedicated and shared resources (tasks, timing, people development)
- Presentation of project plans and results to business stakeholders and management team (C-level)
Key requirements:
- Higher education (computer science, mathematics), or equivalent proven experience
- Managerial background
- More than 3 years of successful experience as a Project Manager \ Product Manager for enterprise-wide projects with multiple stakeholders and integrations (data analytics or data science preferred)
- More than 3 years of experience in management of projects teams (including external and remote teams), resource planning
- Experience in budgets preparation and justification, vendor management
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience working in MS Project or Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence)
- English level (verbal and written) at least Upper Intermediate
- Technical background
- Deep understanding of software development tech-stack (backend, frontend, databases, cloud computing, micro-services)
- Proven track record of industrialized solutions built with Python, strong understanding of modern Python frameworks (Django, pySpark, popular data libraries)
- Experience with integrations into enterprise landscape (REST/SOAP, Message Brokers, ESB approach)
- Experience in building enterprise infrastructure (Virtual machines, Docker, Kubernetes, Networking, monitoring, and alerting)
- Experience in setting up and maintenance of automated deployment processes (CI/CD, DevOps)
- Good understanding of product development processes (Scrum or SAFe certifications would be a plus)
- Understanding of Data Science algorithms and modern patterns, experience in processing of large datasets (100M+ of records)
