The Human Rights Officer will report to the Regional Representative of the Regional Office for Southern Africa (ROSA) of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), located in Pretoria, South Africa and the Senior Human Rights Adviser, located in Maputo.   Responsibilities:
  • Reviews, monitors and evaluates activities relating to the implementation of international human rights instruments, including recommendations of treaty bodies and mechanisms of the Human Rights Council
  • Supports the work of treaty-established bodies and extra-conventional mechanisms and special procedures
  • Prepares relevant human rights parts of reports for the General Assembly, HRC, etc. notes on the status of ratification of human rights instruments, etc.
  • Oversees the OHCHR Mozambique project and meets regularly with UN staff, national officials, civil society representatives, and donors to plan projects and review project activities
  • Works with UN and non-governmental programmes in the country/region to integrate human rights, including their gender dimensions in their programs; helps design and implements the human rights program and designs the organization and focus of the evaluation
  • Ensures up-to-date information regarding substantive matters in the field of human rights and makes recommendations on actions to take
  • Makes contact with other sectors of the UN, other international organizations and governments on coordination and policy matters; brief representatives and provides, as appropriate suggestions and recommendations
  • Assists country military and police to develop and implement a training program in the field of human rights, international humanitarian law, democracy and the rule of law, with attention to gender perspectives
  • Serves as project coordinator with responsibility for carrying out, in consultation with the Senior Human Rights Adviser and the Regional Office, work coordination and administrative functions relating to the staff, planning and budget
  • Trains and supervises new/junior staff

Работа начинается в 8 утра и заканчивается, когда все собаки покормлены, а территория убрана. У каждого разные возможности и способности, поэтому у кого-то уйдет на все задачи 6 часов, а у кого-то - 10. Поэтому не стоит ориентироваться на часы. Важно не время выполнения, а факт. Нельзя не покормить собак или не убрать у них. Представьте, что вы приходите в многодетную семью, где даже если вы плохо себя чувствуете, дети должны быть накормлены.   Условия: На территории оборудован душ и туалет, есть кухня для приготовления завтрака, обед и ужин предоставляют. График работы волонтера:
  • с 8:00 до 12:00 - рабочее время
  • с 12:00 до 13:00 - обед

  • Contributes to building partnerships in areas of the office responsibility, in particular with experts and identified key stakeholders in disaster risk reduction in North-East Asia. Monitors and evaluates the impact of the training modules; takes corrective action as required; proposes improvements
  • Contributes to the implementation of UNDRR’s global strategy for capacity development aimed at strengthening the capacities of governments, key counterparts and stakeholders at all levels in disaster risk reduction and to the implementation and monitoring of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030), with a focus on North-East Asia. Participates in the development and implementation of a capacity building and training programme carried out by the Global Education and Training Institute (GETI), based on the UNDRR global capacity development strategy, and building on the synergies and complementarities of various capacity building and training initiatives by other partners

The Chief of Unit, Service Delivery heads the Service Delivery Pillar of the mission under the Office of the Chief of Mission Support (CMS). The incumbent will report to the Chief of Mission Support (CMS) or his/her designate.   Responsibilities:
  • Ensures and manages the efficient and effective provision of all logistics, technical and operational support services within the Service Delivery Pillar and to the mission as a whole
  • Maintains a close, cooperative relationship between mission support, MSD service and other section chiefs to ensure that the demands for goods and services are delivered in a timely manner through the Service Delivery Pillar and co-ordination of day to day support services at Mission Headquarters and Sectors/Field Offices; implements UNHQ policy and develops mission procedures to ensure support services satisfy UN regulations and rules

The Branch oversees and coordinates the activities and operations of the three United Nations regional centres for peace and disarmament and the Vienna Office. The Branch is responsible for the information and outreach work of the Office, including communications and public information activities, as well as strategic partnership-building on behalf of the Office. The Branch provides substantive and Secretariat support to the Secretary-General’s Advisory Board for Disarmament Matters.   Responsibilities:
  • Formulates, implements and supervises the substantive work programme of the Branch

  • Ensures that the outputs produced by the Section maintain high-quality standards; that reports are clear, objective and based on comprehensive data.
