As Head of Market Expansion Operations you will lead the strategy and execution of international expansion plans and oversee market expansion projects zero to launch.

What will you be doing?
- Overall management of the strategic and operational commercial launch with new markets
- Act as an interim “Country manager” in multiple markets simultaneously, until the country is fully operational
- Drive the project field Ops of the Market Expansion PMO, to ensure the successful implementation of the Country launch project
- Establish fully functioning local entities in markets, managing internal teams and external partners (directly or indirectly) to execute and deliver all market-launch projects, against clear timelines
- Spearhead the commercial expansion for all relevant departments such as Sales, Product, Digital Growth, Finance, Partnerships, Operations and Regulatory Growth
- Implement mechanisms to deliver strategic KPIs, optimize operational efficiency and increase productivity while coordinating, monitoring, and managing various business functions within the country launch project lifecycle
- Work effectively with other managers within the expansion team, the group/country level organizations and to an extent with the company’s senior management, to ensure all projects are delivered successfully. You must be able to cut through the red lines within the departments and get other senior managers to deliver/execute their part when needed
- Lead different operation teams to cover regional markets’ operations within your region to ensure 360-support to the future country managers
- Continuously analyze, solidify and optimize operations processes, focusing on delivering a locally relevant but globally consistent fintech brand
- Own and manage Expansion budgets and understand financial drivers in each market
- Juggle multiple work streams across different markets and balance strategic objectives with on-the-ground execution
What do you need to be successful in this position?
- 8+ years of proven track record in leading international teams, implementing large scale Project plans while deploying Sales Strategies and Sales Operations at a fast-growing start-up environment
- Strong analytical, hands-on and problem-solving experience with detailed-oriented mindset in B2C or B2B2C operations, focused on launching new markets in MENA regions
- Ability to work with several functions within a large organization, including sales, finance, marketing, risk, legal, corporate affairs, regulatory and compliance
- Project management and multi-tasking skills to manage business mechanisms and cross functional stakeholder teams. Ability to navigate culture and politics across multiple functions both locally and at a group level
- Advanced understanding of the sales methodologies, sales behaviors, sales processes, contract structures, customer incentives and negotiations
- Knowledge of multiple cultures, you’ve travelled or lived in more than one country
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel 70-80%
