Basic Function:
The company is looking for a person who will be responsible for procurement function in country and meeting company's goals in regards to quality, delivery and cost within country. Achieve quality and productivity through implementation of procurement strategies and programs. Oversee teams in country in contacting suppliers, requesting quotations, determining parts or product specifications and negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and other conditions as required.
Job main responsibilities:
- Lead general procurement processes in country related to all raw materials, consumables, proprietary supplies, services, strategic sourcing etc;
- Oversee procurement function in country in accordance with corporate policies and values;
- Recommend and implement applicable procurement policies and principles; Identify and benchmark Best Practices in procurement where applicable;
- Identify Cost Synergies that can be shared with suppliers (and customers);
- Support Investment Projects with appropriate expertise in sourcing;
- Develop procurement plans and contracting strategy for assigned materials; This may include financial analysis and reporting, supplier and contract management and reporting;
- Responsible for procurement budget in country; Establish a product & service cost budget to support the business plan;
- Lead contract negotiations with key suppliers; Define and negotiate terms of payment, and ensure proper supplier's deliverables (cash flow, financing cost, penalties for late delivery, etc. ).
- Organize development and broadening the approved supplier base. Elaborate, implement and control key supplier performance measures for procurement function in country. Keep abreast of the procurement market trends and price environment;
- Decide on all procurement management decisions in country Supply Chain. Represent procurement on the country management team meetings. Provide regular updates on supplier and market to management;
- Lead, manage and develop a team by setting and monitoring objectives, training and development, recruitment and performance review;
- Establish, manage and maintain well balanced and target oriented business-partnerships with key suppliers of relevant products & services (vendors, contactors, manufacturers).
Candidate profile requirements:
- University (Bachelor’s Degree) in Science or Business is preferred;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project procurement and contracting for process plant construction. Minimum 5 years of team management/leadership experience;
- Planning, materials management or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred;
- Extensive knowledge of procurement planning, methodologies and practices. Understanding of procurement processes and systems. Understanding of the relevant supply market;
- Strong leadership / management skills (communication, motivation, teaming, monitoring and solving);
- Strong commercial sense and excellent negotiations skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and networking skills;
- Problem solving skill, determination to persist through challenges;
- Good analytical skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP;
- Excellent command of both oral and written English are required.
