tabby is an IT company and a fintech leader in the Middle East. We started our journey with a “buy now, pay later” service that allows you to make purchases in installments, and now we are a whole platform for profitable shopping, issuing virtual cards and developing other financial products.
Founded in 2019,
tabby has gone from idea to
1+ million active customers and tens of thousands of daily orders. Partners include tabby Shein, IKEA, IQOS, Adidas and Marks & Spencer and more than 3,000 retailers. Now the company operates in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain; we plan to launch in neighboring countries in the near future.
After several successful rounds of investments, the company raised $50M at a $300M valuation, the list of investors includes international Global Founders Capital and Arbor Ventures, UAE sovereign fund Mubadala, Saudi Arabia's largest venture capital funds Raed Ventures and STV.
Platform:
- JS SDK connected on partner sites (directly and through a set of plug-ins to e-com platforms);
- User's personal account: desktop and mobile versions of sites, mobile applications for iOS and Android;
- Partner's personal account: desktop and mobile versions of sites;
- Mobile application for cashiers in offline stores;
- And, of course, an API to serve these clients.
- Technology stack: Golang, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, Gitlab.
You'll have to:
- Launch tabby into space!) In the near future, the team will launch in new countries, additional services for customers (cashback, loyalty program, virtual cards for Apple/Google Pay), affiliate marketing for the affiliate network, analytics and much more;
- Develop and support company products: we will need many new services and APIs for external and internal use in an event-driven architecture;
- Development of technical and business metrics;
- Support for the operation of services in a production environment 24/7;
- Development team management;
- Elaboration, distribution and control of tasks;
- Motivation and hiring of employees.
What do we expect:
- English at the level of Upper Intermediate and above;
- At least 5 years of commercial development experience in Golang;
- Experience with DBMS such as PostgreSQL, Redis;
- Experience in designing and implementing REST and gRPS APIs;
- SOA implementation experience.
Will be a plus:
- Experience in using DDD in microservice architecture;
- Experience with Kubernetes;
- Experience with other programming languages;
- Fintech experience.
Relocation
*Not required to work at tabby, but we can provide support if you want to move to another country.
We offer remote work from anywhere in the world at the choice of the employee and, upon leaving, we work out an individual relocation plan. Usually we help to get a freelance visa in the UAE, with which you can open a bank account in the Emirates and use it anywhere in the world. Income from this account is not taxed.
For employees, we also compensate the cost of:
flight to Dubai
flight back to Russia or any other country of your choice;
residence up to two months (if this period is required to obtain visas for you and your relatives);
annual Dubai Freelancer Visa;
basic health insurance.
After that, it is possible to live on a tourist visa in any country or obtain a Digital Nomad visa in countries that offer it.
Possible options: Portugal, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Georgia, Cyprus.
Wages are paid in United States dollars (USD).
