Senior Patient Advocacy and Communications Manager.
Position summary:
Senior Patient Advocacy and Communications Manager role is integral to ensuring that Teva continues to improve the lives of patients that we serve in Russia. Reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate Affairs, this broad role sets overarching patient advocacy strategy and supports Teva corporate brand development in order to create, collaborate on and execute impactful, patient focused communications to various external stakeholders. The role aims to bring the voice of the patient to life by putting patient needs at the center of all we do. The scope of management includes strategic leadership, agency management, budget responsibility and leadership of compliance in patient and stakeholder engagements. Senior Patient Advocacy and Communications Manager will also be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of patient support programs (PSP).
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to development and implementation of a strategic, pro-active Public Affairs agenda to shape external issues towards patient-centricity;
- Hold responsibility for the development, implementation and maintenance of patient support programs (PSP).
- Build strategic relationships with patient associations to understand patients’ needs and concerns, identify stakeholders and influencers, align mutual priorities and plan activities that impact decision makers;
- Empower/support associations in providing patient information and support services utilize cross-functional expertise where possible;
- Develop Teva corporate brand;
- Prepare and disseminate content for various external communication channels;
- Lead company’s web-site and social media channels;
- Support and coordination of external events;
- Oversee cooperation with PR agencies and other external vendors;
- Budgetary management for corporate brand communications and patient relations.
Requirements and Skills:
- High education
- Work experience in Patient Advocacy/ Relations or Communications role within the pharmaceutical industry or related health sector > 3 years;
- Experience and success track record of being able to empathize with patients to build insight into their needs/issues and strengthening communication channels;
- Previous experience working with patient associations or NGOs will be an advantage;
- Work experience with online platforms (website, intranet) and knowledge of SEO;
- Knowledge of PR tools will be an advantage;
- Advanced PC and standard office software knowledge (Excel, Power Point);
- Higher degree in Business, Natural/Social Sciences. Medical diploma will be an advantage;
- Project Management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, both in English and Russian.
