Job Summary:
BBDM Digital Marketing Agency is seeking a General Manager to manage the agency's day-to-day operations to deliver high-quality services while placing a major concentration on building partnerships with a high volume client base. The General Manager will possess the leadership attributes required to successfully manage both the team and client relationships and understand the strategies in adding roles to create efficiencies in their growing operation to help drive profitability. Will manage all digital marketing operations, assess and improve existing initiatives, and devise new strategies to increase revenue. Will also be responsible for creating and evolving a team culture that is collaborative, creative, customer-focused, and performance-driven. The right candidate has agency experience with over 1000 customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue and manage expenses with full P&L responsibility. Manage marketing budget and prioritize spending to maximize qualified leads. Rigorously measure the lead and customer acquisition cost for each marketing channel and adjust spending to maximize ROI
- Drive Marketing Qualified Leads: Develop lead generation campaign/program strategy, objectives, goals, metrics, and define best practices, standards and processes to drive successful customer acquisition and current customer upsell opportunities
- Integrated Campaign Development: Execute an integrated mix of email, direct mail, digital, lead-nurturing, and content marketing campaigns for lead generation, including emails, landing pages, calls-to-action, and content
- Marketing Automation: Ensure optimization of marketing automation best practices to attract and guide qualified leads through the sales process
- Targeting/Segmentation: Segment target audiences based on SMB propensity-to-buy segment strategies, personas, “jobs-to-do” messaging strategy, and demographic criteria and completed interactions (e.g. content downloads, calls, chats, lead form completion, page views, etc)
- Lead Generation Workflows: Define lead flow processes and work with Database Marketing Team to optimize interdepartmental service level agreements; optimize system architecture and program workflows to support Sales/Marketing processes. Create and execute lead-generation plans that deliver significant volumes of qualified leads cost-effectively, including SEO, email marketing, PPC (already very good at this), social media, and new marketing channels
- Reporting and Metrics: Track and report on demand generation performance metrics, using this data to continually optimize campaign performance. Analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email/landing page optimization
- Manage complex budgets and provide internal forecasting updates to drive ongoing planning for staff and technology needs
- Lead and develop new marketing programs; collaborate with sales and other business unit leaders to drive growth
- Set business unit's goals and objectives - and develop relevant key performance metrics for all roles (individual and team) to meet/exceed targets
- Improve customer retention by implementing a highly effective customer contact process focusing on key measurable touchpoints (including transparent data analytics reflecting how they're performing for each client, ongoing and consistent customer communication, key performance indicators, and net promoter scores)
- Create an exceptional customer experience (as measured by direct feedback and net promoter scores)
- Develop, lead and inspire the team including recruiting, on-boarding, coaching, and overall performance management. Create an engaging working environment for team members to be excited to perform their duties every day
- Analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitors’ marketing tactics to identify new opportunities
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience effectively leading high-performing marketing teams. Advertising agency leadership experience is a requirement
- Extensive experience driving excellent return on investment for clients using superior marketing and technology solutions. Proven ability to grow and lead cross-functional teams (paid search, SEO, creative, development, analytics)
- Comprehensive knowledge of email paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, video, and mobile
- Excellent communication and client servicing skills and a passion for developing and retaining high-performing clients
- The ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
