Under Armour is a leading inventor, marketer and distributor of branded athletic performance apparel, footwear and accessories. Currently Under Armour searches for a Head of Marketing in Russia, responsible to local CEO and to EMEA headquarters, to work in a close cooperation with Under Armour and its partner agencies.
Employment will be arranged through a service agreement with Grayling (Moscow) — Under Armour’s partner agency in Russia.
Key responsibilities include:
GTM and Brand Marketing:
• Design rolling 18-month Russia marketing plan tied to overall business plan. Through UA Marketing Distributors team, align with cross-functional initiatives. Maximize the brand and sales impact of ongoing business and seasonal launches by optimizing merchandising, promotions, messaging, and events. .
• Drive and coordinate seasonal brand and product marketing campaigns with an integrated approach, including media plans through different channels & media agency relationships, activation events and omnichannel tactics.
• Elaborate a seasonal planning calendar and share those initiatives with Under Armour regional, sharing pre-campaign plans and post-campaigns execution reports.
Account Marketing:
• Establish strong relations with the accounts, covering offline and online channels as well as sports specialty accounts. Present brand priorities, cascade the information through sell-in meetings, align on seasonal calendar and budgets.
• Create retail marketing calendar to optimally “flight” retail/digital marketing activities across the calendar year, through both UA retail channels and 3rd party channels online and offline.
Digital and Social Media:
• Promote Under Armour brand with a regular calendar of promotional ads and manage Under Armour Russia’s website (if needed) and social media accounts (paid media plans).
Partnerships and Influencers:
• Manage Gym partnerships — Establish and grow a network of gym partners; ensuring the best presentation of the brand through branding, activation events and seeding in the gyms.
• Prepare and execute gym activation plans in accordance with seasonal marketing plans, including events, pop-up stores, digital campaigns and other common projects with the gyms.
• Establish and grow influencers’ network. Manage relationships with the influencers to maximize opportunities in partnership. Ensure brand-right communication and effective budget management.
• Supervise and coordinate seasonal product seedings.
Reporting and Market Research:
• Prepare reports on the execution of the campaigns or other reports as requested by regional Under Armour team.
• Coordinate with other partners and market research companies to follow consumer behavior and brand impact in the market.
Budget Management:
• Set and manage budgets for all touch-points, Under Armour EMEA, key accounts, media partners and other agencies.
• Plan and share the FY annual budget considering the budget tracker file provided by Under Armour, together with invoices if needed.
• Ensure positive ROI and provide with alternatives and initiatives to further improve the return of the annual marketing spent.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented, consumer-driven company and previous retail marketing leadership experience
Proven working experience in digital marketing, ideally in a sports or fashion retailer
Experience in account marketing is a plus.
Strong understanding of Direct Marketing fundamentals and response-driven creative development
Experience in leveraging key geographic influencers and, media, life styling and customer driver and retention practices
High level of presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and marketing campaign management skills
Fluent English
