Responsibilities:
Development / management / validation / compliance checks of Safety Standard Operating Procedures for use in own region
Support own region appropriately for consistent improving of Safety result and during Safety short term crises or chronic problem trouble shooting
Ensure full Compliance of own region with Legal and AB InBev Safety requirements, with focus on activities of breweries, maltings, 1st & 2nd Tier operations of own region.
Stay updated on latest legal, technical and management Safety developments, requirements and best practices and translate this in workable requirements and SOPs for the breweries in own region
Perform VPO/DPO, Safety compliance and ad hoc audits in own region in order to advice local & zone management on Safety risks and CAPEX.
Insure sound change management and contractor safety throughout the own region.
Provide guidance, advice & coaching to Environment & Safety (ES) managers of the own region in the execution of their tasks.
Create and maintain audit and follow up systems to ensure that regional / facility Safety Licenses & Permits, certifications, accreditations, and compliance efforts are in place and continuously improved in own region
Follow up, keep updated and challenge facilities in own region for proper usage Safety part of Global reporting system (360Credit or other in case of change) – Injuries, Safety incidents, Permits & Licenses. Final approver for Safety related cases for the System in own region.
Ensure delivery of targeted Safety KPI’s in the own region and report the data to ZBS Safety Manager EUR.
Support in organization and roll out of Better World milestones: World Safety Day, the Safety Days in the facilities of own region and other safety promotion campaigns.
Support in Safety sign-off of projects in design phase (CAPEX, cost, value engineering, innovation) in own region to ensure ABInBev standards & local legal requirements are respected and implemented
Support in Safety equipment commissioning in Capex & other relevant projects in own region
Responsible for preparing Special Operation Procedures (SOP’s), Good Operation practices (GOP’s) and other technical documents in scope of new Safety projects through to hand-over in own region
Explore new technologies in field of Safety and support implementation
Identify and share best practices for the benefit of the region
Provision of technical services/expertise to support the operations in own region in delivery of performance according to KPIs
Organize and perform audits in own region of compliance to ABInBev standards and legislative requirements in the field of Safety
Responsible for follow up and implementation of relevant changes in Safety legislation of the own region
Responsible for implementation & sustainability Safety pillar within ABInbev Excellence Programs like VPO, DPO, SMS and LPC in own region
Define, develop and implement Safety technical trainings & skills development
Support of breweries, maltings and distributions centers in own region with investigation and validation of root causes and actions after injuries and serious incidents (SIF).
Support of breweries, maltings and distributions centers in own region with Process Safety Management for Ammonia, Steam and Electricity. Validation Method statements for roof works, non-routine works on Ammonia installations and other critical tasks
Prioritization of own activities and movements in alignment with line manager
Roll-out of Best Practice, follow-up of results and organize the improvement task forces for Safety performance in own region
Accountabilities:
Owner of regional Safety KPIs (main ones: Lost Time Injuries, Total Recordable Injuries, number of days lost, Accident frequency rate, accident severity rate, Serious incidents (SIF), TRIFR, safety legal non-compliance)
Support and drive Global and Zone Safety strategy. Developing and implementation Region Safety strategy based on Global / Zone strategy.
CAPEX sign-off for Safety projects (ESL package) or elements in a projects, i.e. safety requirements for design, Pre Start-up Inspection and contractor safety in own region
The delivery of technical expertise support in task areas according to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to ensure Safety compliance — Execution of the technical audits
Crisis management in the Safety field for own Region
Support and follow up on Management of Change process in own region to ensure Safety involvement in the design phase of any change (product development, projects, people, process & equipment).
Sustainability and consistent improving for Safety management system (VPO/DPO/SMS/LCP) in own region: implementation of Safety Pillar for company Excellence Programs, include Special operations.
The delivery, the maintenance and the validation of GOPs and SOP’s in the Safety area (3 levels: own ZBS Safety procedures, other ZBS departments, facilities in own region)
Assist the breweries of own region with implementation of Safety Best Practices.
Requirements:
Technical University Degree or Equivalent
University or post-university degree in Safety management (preferable)
Languages: English intermediate knowledge
At least 3 years of Safety experience preferably in the food industry
