Citibank is searching for a Trade Finance Product Officer.
Position Objective:
To grow the Trade Business in Russia by developing the product proposition and contribute to product launches to cater to the needs of our local and multinational clients
Conduct a deep market share analysis to understand incremental targetable wallet
Conduct a market analysis to understand gap to market and influence the product strategy
Support strong governance and portfolio oversight of Trade Finance Products in Russia with GDRs and approval process and conditions
Develop the product offering to adapt to new emerging trends and new demands from Citi clients
Implement the Risk and Controls agenda for the country by ensuring strict adherence to relevant Controls and periodical Risk Review requirements
Responsibilities:
The Trade Finance Product Officer partners across product disciplines, assists in the ownership of the product(s) and monitoring drivers for performance
Works on the ongoing performance and maintenance of a product or set of products, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution
Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the product performance team
Integrates subject matter and industry knowledge within a defined area and requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business
Evaluates variable and, at times, complex issues with major impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations
Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources
Implements performance improvement strategies, with a specific focus on cross-sell and integration, including the development of competitive analyses, market analyses, product development road maps, market plans, pricing strategies and product line extensions
Assists sales and relationship managers in building skills needed to identify client needs, and proposes solutions in line with business objectives
Manages ongoing performance and maintenance of a product or set of products, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution
Partners closely with sales teams to identify client opportunities and with the client management organization to meet with prospective clients and to size new opportunities
Build consensus and awareness of value proposition throughout the organization and key partners
Prepares materials for the Product Approval Program and related processes, ensures products are delivered and adhere to all parameters globally
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, legal, implementations, and sales to deliver solutions for Citi clients
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
To drive a significant incremental revenue and implement product initiatives
Identify and launch new products tailored to the local market, aimed at Trade target client segments in Collaboration with GSG, Trade Sales and Banking
Own the product management, product governance, Product approval programs agenda for Russia
Contribute to the Risk and control agenda including MCAs, new regulations
Implementation and launch of Global products in the local market, including support for internal approvals
Requirements:
3 years of experience
Demonstrated experience in Product Management and/or Product Development discipline
Experience in and understanding of logistics or Industrial verticals experience with e-commerce solutions preferred
Complex judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives
In-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions
Ability to apply ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations
Developed diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers
Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior managers
English language - advanced or higher
Russian language - advanced or higher.
