The Yango PR team is searching for a public relations manager to oversee publicity campaigns as the service launches in new markets. We need someone who can quickly delve into the nuances of a new country, coordinate local consultants and contractors, organize publicity support for the launch, and ultimately support our PR activities in a fast-growing market. We’re looking for someone who knows how to move at startup speed while doing high-quality work with multiple stakeholders, both remotely and at the office. We’re looking for someone who’s fearless in the face of the unknown. This position is based at our headquarters in Moscow, Russia. • has 5 or more years of experience in PR or communications;
• has previously demonstrated success launching products or services in international markets;
• has a clear understanding of how the world’s online services work;
• can organize and manage complex processes, keep several subjects in their head at once, and quickly wrap their head around new subject matter;
• has significant experience with PR crises and problem management;
• can make decisions quickly and take responsibility for them;
• is extremely attentive to detail;
• has a fluent command of written and spoken English (familiarity with major languages of African countries is a plus).

  Responsibilities:

• familiarize oneself with the media environment in emerging markets;
• work with influencers and members of the media;
• oversee Yango’s social media accounts activity;
• find PR agencies in emerging markets and coordinate their work;
• develop and introduce new PR formats;
• work closely with country managers to attract new users, drivers, and partners to Yango;
• suggest and implement non-trivial PR formats on the go;
• evaluate the outcome of PR activities as they relate to business results.

Governmental Relations is an advocacy function. The purpose is to contribute to Nokia’s competitive advantage by proactively influencing the regulatory and political environment, addressing issues and opportunities vis-à-vis political stakeholders, and to contribute to our company vision.   The Head of “Government Relations Eastern Europe” will work as a key interface between Nokia and governmental stakeholders in Russia and other Eastern Europe countries. These stakeholders include the Russian Ministry of telecom and mass communications, the Ministry for Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry & Trade, President Administration, relevant federal offices and others. The Head of GR Eastern Europe identifies regulatory issues and matters of interest or concern to the company and drives the development of company positions as well as respective cooperation and coordination with customer GR teams. The work is based on networking across the business units together with internal experts including from Legal, Corporate Affairs, and business unit subject matter experts. The function is embedded in Marketing and Corporate Affairs, MCA Government Relations. Close cooperation with the regional organization is expected. Concerning interregional matters, the successful employee will work closely with the Head of GR Europe, the central Nokia GR team and other GR colleagues as well as subject matter experts from other units as BLCTO. The position will be responsible for building visibility and leadership on behalf of Nokia within appropriate fora, associations, and events including St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Association of European Businesses, as well as RCC. In addition, the Head of GR East organizes workshops with his/her stakeholders and arranges high level meetings for the company leadership in his region. Working with the company leadership in the region, the Head of GR East will drive the development of short-term and long-term lobbying strategy and targets and will also lead efforts to identify opportunities for company expert participation in governmental and industry panels and events.  
Brand Management & Communication — Brand Specialist Graduate education in public policy or law preferred. At least five years of experience in Government Relations or similar expertise. A working knowledge of the agencies involved in activities associated with Nokia business activities is required. Familiarity with key trade associations within the ICT sector and previous experience working on regulatory issues including spectrum, intellectual property, standardization, and other wireless issues is preferred. The role requires the ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a complex environment where flexibility and influencing skills are essential.
