As a Reading Rioter, you’ll join an international team of professionals who share our obsession with player experience.
You will be responsible for building and leading a diverse team and driving the success of Riot’s “player first” philosophy ensuring that our agreements with partners and sponsors positively impact player experience across the region. You will be responsible for the BD team, located in various offices around the region with sales, account management, product specific crafts teams, and BD operations connecting with global teams and other regions, allowing us to grow into a multi-product, multi-genre, portfolio driven company. You will report to the Sr. Director of Publishing, EMEA.   Responsibilities:
  • Build and execute a holistic cross-market and cross-product partnerships strategy that complements global strategies and connects with players in the region in an authentic way
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy through effective media planning, pitch-book creation, production follow-up, and the development of account services
  • Leverage partners to continually develop all product brands, including the Riot brand and to amplify campaigns from country, over regional, to global
  • Generate significant out-of-game revenue through sponsorship and broadcasting deals; from sourcing, structuring and closing, through campaign implementation and partner retention
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and current partners across gaming and non-gaming verticals
  • Build and manage a high performing team and balance goals across revenue, partnerships, and player value; regularly assess the team’s maturity, health, and composition; help your team members develop their craft and careers; relentlessly strive for collaboration across global, regional, and country teams
  Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of proven experience operating in a senior leadership role in EMEA or global BD management. You have a consistent track record of orchestrating, negotiating and executing large scale B2B partnerships, including licensing deals
  • You are an experienced internal and external negotiator, versed in complex deals and contract negotiations and you possess a sound legal understanding across a variety of different types of deals including sponsorships, partnerships and licensing, revenue models, market benchmarks, and trends. Strong ability to articulate and explain complex deal scenarios to senior partners who might not be involved in day-to-day operations
  • Being an avid gamer and/or esports fan you have a strong understanding of how successful partnerships impact players and how different options for adding partners to our products create lasting value for players, partners, and Riot
  • You have prior sports or competitive gaming industry experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills: excellent ability to communicate effectively, whether across teams, borders, time zones, or desks
  • Experience with working across multiple teams in different disciplines and locations, with excellent relationship management skills
  • You have an existing extensive network of brands and advertisers across EMEA
  • Besides English you are multilingual, ideally in one of the main EMEA market languages (French, German, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, or Arabic)

Due to JV structure in Klin (Hercules) Production Facility, this role will also need to facilitate communication (both written and face-to-face) between Cargill and the JV partner (United Grain Company). Should Cargill choose to choose to change the ownership structure of this Joint Venture, this role would play a critical role in exploring and executing strategic alternatives.
Will sit on the Russian Local Accountability Team.   Key Accountabilities:
  • Leads the strategic development, tactical deployment and execution of sales plans and goals. Ensures that the sales organization/teams continuously build and develop integrated relationships with external/internal customers
  • Design, develop and ensure execution of regional and local marketing and sales short/medium and long term action plans, in order to keep and improve our market share, sales and distribution in a profitable manner and grow profitability of the product line, including people, product and program development. Responsible for P&L results of the product line
  • Translates long-term sales strategy into defined and quantifiable sales objectives, goals and definition of targets (i.e. growth rate, gross-margin contribution, profit criteria, revenue). Responsible for the development and execution of the detailed plan of activities to pursue, reassess, and ensure sales targets and goals are achieved
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to provide direct input and support to the product line strategy, to support the innovation pipeline, and to ensure a constant stream of new products/services aimed at adding value to the product line portfolio
  • Together with marketing, develops and implements brand campaigns to maximize business growth
  • Develop tactics focused on creating value for customers and define requirements for market offerings, including product, service and cost dimensions, marketplace awareness efforts and measurement of customer satisfaction
  • Personally responsible for key account’s management and maintaining key account relationships
  • Margin management (pricing), product positioning, promotional campaigns and other related duties
  • Deploys the “Cargill Sales Effectiveness Framework” and drives team work culture and alignment to goals
  • Responsible for the onboarding and safety cultures of team in the region. Coaches and develops the sales team and defines career growth paths (directly or indirectly)
  • Helps the Managing Director explore and assess strategic alternative options for ownership of Klin (Herkules) Production Facility
  • Leads exploration and business development opportunities in select regions of the former Soviet Union (e.g., Kazakhsatan, Uzbekistan, etc.)
  Qualifications Min. Qualifications:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in marketing and sales with a track record of being able to grow a sustainable business
  • University degree (Bachelor, MS or higher), preferably in business administration or marketing
  • Ability to develop, communicate and execute a strategic vision for consumer and behavioral based segments to create a competitive advantage in the targeted EMEA countries
  • Proven experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key clients
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis and how to apply this data
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, train and develop diverse teams and influence them at all levels of the organization
