  • Create and validate data-informed segmentation and targeting strategies. Analyze customer base and market data to establish where we should focus marketing efforts. Summarize quantitative feedback for cross-functional partners and underline product roadmap implications when relevant
  • Go to market (GTM) leadership. Provide clear direction to the rest of the marketing team on what products we are marketing and to whom. Define clear targets and messaging that speaks to users’ needs. Activate the right channels, track results, and iterate toward improvement. Drive work with agency partners and freelancers as needed
  You have:
  • 10+ years of experience in technology companies, with 5+ years in a FinTech product marketing role. Preference for experience with capital, banking, and financing products
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. Capable of balancing multiple projects and goals. Detail orientation where it matters
  • Ability to balance information. Comfort analyzing substantial data sets in some areas and recommending action with minimal information in others

  • Serve as the point-person for optimizing growth levers across the B2B acquisition funnel

  Requirements:
  • Analytical Skills: Has 5+ years of experience levering SQL, Python, R, or equivalent to drive business analysis
  • Marketing Technologies: Has 5+ years of experience with CRM (Salesforce),  marketing automation (Pardot/Marketo), and website tracking (Google Analytics) systems
  • Sales and Marketing Funnels: Possess a deep understanding of the end-to-end marketing mechanics including campaign creation (email/web/social), lead generation, lead scoring, qualification, distribution, and conversion including closed-loop reporting
  • Analytical Capabilities: Master at analyzing data sets including segmentation and data augmentation from 3rd party tools and online sources and continuously optimize and guide the team to make improvements

  • Model and evaluate potential acquisition and investment opportunities
  • Negotiate terms and work with legal, finance, and operations teams to structure acquisition and investment opportunities, which are often complex, or cross border transactions
  • Lead the execution of deals in a smooth, efficient manner, and play a key role in the seamless integration of the teams we acquire, to set them up for long term success
  The ideal candidate:
  • Has 2-4+ years of experience with a strong foundation developed in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, management consulting, or a similar analytical and financial environment
  • Experience with PaaS or SaaS businesses would be well regarded, experience in enterprise software is essential
  • Preference for candidates that can demonstrate end-to-end experience translating strategy into sourcing of acquisition targets, M&A / investment execution, and subsequent integration. Experience across at least one part of this lifecycle is a must
  • Has strong analytical skills and the ability to model complex business opportunities and assess trade-offs
  • Is detail-oriented and meticulous, and able to build on that foundation to provide high-level insights and strategic advice
  • Is proficient in data visualization and in communicating quantitative insights
  • Is highly self-­motivated, and able to work with significant autonomy
  • A passion for open source technology and enterprise software
  • An understanding of CMS, SaaS, and hosting environments is preferred
  • If you have experience with WordPress, software development, coding, open source, or other relevant areas, don’t forget to mention it
  • Like all positions at Automattic, you’ll work remotely, and you can be based wherever you live. A willingness to time shift as needed and travel ~6 weeks a year is important (once we’re able to travel again)
  • Company has a distributed team, so good communication skills are a must
