Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers a complete set of cloud services that enable all companies, from startups to enterprises, to run virtually everything in the cloud, including mobile applications, big data analytics, AI/ML platforms, and microservices/serverless infrastructures.  As AWS continues to rapidly grow, we seek an Startup Sales Manager to own, operate and define strategy for our fast growing Startup Segment in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS. You will be responsible for building and developing a team of sales professionals, driving revenue and user adoption, and on boardingnew startups to AWS. As the Startup Sales Manager, you will align closely with Business Development leaders who are driving strategic engagements, global program and initiatives.

 

You will be at the heart of latest trends like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), serverless and IoT. Your customers leverage state-of-the-art technologies on AWS to innovate and become the next disrupters, like today’s Slack, Zalando and Grammarly. You are a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit who is prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, execute against ambitious goals and consistently embrace the Amazon Culture.

 

Roles/Responsibilities:
Manage and guide a team of sales professional across geographies and seniority levels
Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful GTM strategy
Drive revenue and market share while meeting/exceeding revenue targets
Develop and execute goals to drive long-term strategy with startups
Partner with cross-functional teams across Solution Architecture, Business Development, Marketing, Partners and Training
Define and drive operational excellence with sales teams

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of team management experience in technology sales or business development
8+ years of technology related sales experience
Proven track record building, coaching and motivating high performing teams, including senior and junior sales professionals
Exposure and knowledge of Cloud Technology at previous company
BA/BS degree

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience engaging with Founders, CxO, Board of Directors and VC investors
Technical background in engineering or computer science
Master or MBA
Fluency in Russian, Polish or any other language from CEE or CIS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
