TikTok is seeking an experienced Tax Specialist for Moscow office. This position will be primarily focused on Russian taxation but there will also be opportunities for broader exposure to corporate taxes across the CIS countries.
Responsibilities:
Execute Russian tax compliance, including preparation of the VAT book and other tax supporting ledgers, tax review of primary documents, economic justification of transactions and preparation of tax returns;
Collaborate with the local Finance team on the workflow and tax issues, as well as communicate with accounting / tax vendors;
Conduct tax research in Consultant+, as well official websites and global web;
Monitor tax legislation in Russia and CIS region;
Provide support for ad hoc tax matters, i.e. tax and business projects.
Qualifications:
Fluency in both Russian and English (resume must be submitted in English);
3+ years of Russian tax compliance in a large MNC firm with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation;
Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and practice;
Knowledge of the 1C system;
Solid local accounting & tax knowledge and analytical skills;
Effective oral and written communication skills;
Strong problem-solving and time management skills;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
Knowledge of the Chinese language is an advantage.
