А leading global consumer goods company Procter & Gamble is looking for a highly motivated Sustainability Communications Senior Manager — a scientist or engineer with a passion for environmental sustainability with a knowledge of the local market waste and recycling landscape.
Sustainability Communications Manager for Eastern Europe is a unique role which combines an in-depth understanding of science and technology with strategic & creative thinking, expert communications skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively inside and outside the Company. The ideal candidate will be digitally savvy, willing to challenge the status quo and not be afraid of change, with entrepreneurial spirit, agility, and willingness to learn quickly.
In general, your role will be to become a trusted and valued voice as a Sustainability expert and communicate the Science behind P&G and our Brands in a way that is meaningful, compelling, and credible to multiple external stakeholders via:
Leading Corporate and Brand-specific Sustainability programs in line with P&G’s “Ambition 2030” goals.
Developing credible partnerships with the key Sustainability-focused NGOs (e.g., WWF).
Training our employees on Environmental Sustainability and Ingredient Transparency to equip Sales, Marketing, and multi-functional teams with the science know-how to manage the business context.
Being an active member of Industry Associations and local Working Groups to shape the external environment.
Providing expertise into joint business plans with the key retailers .
Acting as an ambassador for our products and programs via Media, P&G-Retailer Shopper Events (online or via retailers’ magazines), our own or partners’ social media channels (e.g., Ask the Experts).
Developing a strong Sustainability network with retailers, professionals and other industry groups that can be activated to launch proactive communications and support crisis management efforts.
Solving environmental, ingredient, safety, and other science-based issues with clients (retailers), advocates, consumers partnering with GR and providing guidance to Sales & Marketing teams.

Qualifications
Strong English skills (Upper-Intermediate or higher level)
Higher education degree, ideally Scientific or Engineering background to establish credibility with external experts
Passion for Sustainability with a proven knowledge or interest in developing a deep expertise in this area
Confident, effective communicator able to translate complex scientific concepts into easily understood stories
Independent, self-driven but highly collaborative to develop a cross-functional internal network and foster external partnership.
