Job Description Summary:

  • Strategy and Business Development Leader, CIS will be responsible for creating and developing business growth opportunities for GE HealthCare products portfolio in CIS countries. Reporting to the Zone General Manager RCIS, the Strategy and Business Development Leader, CIS will be responsible for implementation of the growth strategy in the region and building strong relations with local government authorities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Representing GE HealthCare interests in front of executive and legislative Government institutions and agencies in CIS Countries. Drive GE HealthCare government relations and policy initiatives and advise the business on a broad range of legislative, regulatory and policy related issues
  • Leading initial development of GE HealthCare business entry, penetration and development strategy for CIS region
  • Building relationships with strategic level government executives to support the definition and implementation of sales strategies & plan in CIS region
  • Managing and developing relations with Government and administration representatives, professional societies to deepen understanding of customer challenges and needs
  • Supporting strategic imperatives (Growth, Simplification & Quality) and initiatives in order to ensure the fulfillment of business requirements and to optimize business performance
  • Providing expert advice on the workings of state institutions and decision-making procedures in CIS countries
  • Understanding and supporting development of financial offerings and solutions in collaboration with sales and project finance team within CIS based on customer needs
  • Driving the company’s participation in related industry’ associations & business groups
  • Providing comprehensive back-end market analysis in support of GE’s regional market development efforts to better understand government and customers (key accounts, national companies, etc.) strategies, priorities and underlying drivers. (market analytics, business inputs, briefing books, etc.)
  • Originating market development opportunities (take a lead on early stage, initial structuring) based on market/government priorities and strategies, connect all stakeholders for development
  • Develop the growth plans while meeting short term business objectives. Drive key activities, including prospecting, strategy planning, executive relationship development, discovery assessment, GEHC ecosystem coordination
  • Determining the market potential & prioritizing the portfolio opportunities
  • Analyzing market dynamics and competition to develop business opportunities
  • Providing input to the yearly business planning cycles
  • Engaging and driving regional and zone marketing in support of growth strategy

 

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s Degree (preferably in law and/or political sciences)
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in government relations/public affairs within Healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated experience of operating in a highly regulated environment and experience in dealing with country, regional and local healthcare government authorities in CIS countries. Experience in dealing with international healthcare institutions would be considered as an advantage
  • Experienced in Business Management or Sales/Marketing or equivalent in progressive leadership
  • Demonstrated business management and resource allocation skills including business plan development
  • Deep knowledge of GEHC product portfolio, care area solutions and services offered would be an advantage
  • Experience working in the Healthcare industry including interaction with hospital administration (i.e. account management, relationship-building experience)
  • Exemplary leadership skills
  • Strong business acumen; financial and organizational skills
  • Advanced negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills
  • High level presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate and present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact that builds effective strategic relationships
  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence, at all levels within the organization. Act as inspirational leader with optimism, highly approachable and humble
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude
  • Fluent Russian and English
