The British Government has opened a position of a Senior Trade Adviser.
The primary objective of this role will be to contribute to successful delivery of two strategic EECAN region-wide events in Fintech and Green Finance sectors by the end of March 2021.
This job will provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience in international trade and business development as well as insights into the recent trends in FinTech and wider Financial Services industries; the role will envisage engagement with UK and Russian stakeholders in the above industries and wider. Successful candidate will be able to apply and master project management skills while delivering the events and analytical skills while working on sector reports and providing business advice to the UK companies.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist the UK companies to unlock business potential in Russia by proactively identifying relevant opportunities and business partners as well as responding to companies’ enquiries about the Russian market, and providing relevant business advice.
As part of their work, the successful candidate will be expected to achieve results within budget while meeting DIT corporate standards for quality of service and set targets.
Roles and responsibilities:
Significant contribution to the team’s effort to deliver Fintech and Green Finance events;
Project Management: planning, development and delivery of activities within the set timeframe and budget;
Leasing with stakeholders on practical aspects of their engagement in the event;
Leasing with service providers and sub-contractors for the events;
Support in implementing the communications campaign for the events;
Building and sharing sector knowledge through attending relevant industry events in Russia
Proactively identifying relevant export opportunities for the UK companies in Russia;
Producing relevant market reports, analysis, overviews, presentations.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
Full professional proficiency in English and Russian, including excellent writing skills (written and spoken, minimum of C1 level for CEFR framework*);
At least 2 years of relevant work experience;
A proven record of engaging with customers, stakeholders and partners;
Awareness about business and economic environment in Russia and in the UK;
Experience of managing a broad workload, able to prioritise and continue to deliver against objectives;
Experience of working effectively as a member of a team.
