LEGO is searching for a Senior Tax Manager (EMEA) (Maternity Cover).
Core Responsibilities:
Hands-on support across a broad range of tax advisory Support will be functional areas of indirect tax, direct tax, transfer pricing and customs local advisory.
Support in responding to tax audits and various queries from tax authorities mostly in Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic.
Work with other EMEA Business Advisory team to mitigate risks for the region.
Support in monitoring law changes of relevance to The LEGO Group, and entering the same with sufficient level of detail in the internal law tracker.
Evaluate and advise on the tax impact for projects and ad hoc advisories in the business with a strong focus on the company’s Eastern Europe markets.

Global Strategic Tax & Customs is the tax organisation with overall accountability for taxes all over the world including customs, indirect tax, etc. Within this global function there are 5 functions – a Business Advisory function, a Tax Policy & Controversy function, a Planning & Structuring function, a Projects & Performance function and a Tax Governance function. Tax Operations & Compliance are handled in a separate tax team.
The Senior Tax Manager is a temporary role (approx. 1 year) within the Business Advisory (BA) team reporting to the Global Head of Business Advisory. The role is to advise the business on different projects, and help crafting visibility on taxes and lifting the strategic focus on taxes. This role will be a significant support role to the existing Business Advisory team in EMEA.
Do you have what it takes:
Strong experience in a similar generalist tax role covering all taxes.
In-house multi national experience is preferred.
Accounting Firm or Law Firm experience is relevant.
Able to adapt to the new way of working environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
SAP knowledge is preferred.
Chartered Accountant / Tax Advisor or equivalent.
College or university degree or equivalent experience.
