TRT Russian is searching for a Senior Producer.
Primary Tasks:
Assist the Online Senior News Editor in managing and leading news shifts.
Provide editorial direction to digital news desk.
Revise, write, copy edit and advise the Senior News Editor on all and any matters.
Decide upon news headlines and summaries for news stories.
Assist the editor in overseeing content distribution on news shifts.
Works with producers to help craft and conceptualise storytelling and audience engagement methodology.
Produce news content for TRT Russian’s digital platforms.
Essential Skills:
Sound editorial judgment of Global issues.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Literature, Journalism and Media.
5 years experience in print or digital journalism.
A passion and commitment to TRT Russian’s spirit of journalism.
Sound leadership and communication abilities.
Ability to write crisp news copy.
Ability to do shift work and work under tight pressure and deadlines.
Strong writing and copy editing ability.
Ability to write concise and accurate journalistic headlines and summaries.
Ability to fluently interact with social media platforms and an understanding of the social medial and scape.
Previous experience in audience development and engagement is a bonus.
