TikTok is actively seeking a Senior Manager of Public Policy for Eastern Europe.
Responsibilities
Engage with regulatory, government and other political stakeholders in Tier-2 Eastern Europe markets (CIS countries);
Communicate TikTok’s mission, values, and principles;
Help TikTok think and act locally, be an expert in the local team:
Draft and keep up-to-date stakeholder maps for each market;
Provide regular Public Policy updates for each market to relevant internal XFN teams;
Review and analyse legislative and regulatory proposals;
Provide strategic Public Policy / GR guidance to XFN internal teams to help Tiktok put users first Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other Eastern Europe markets;
Establish and maintain formal and, when necessary and appropriate, informal communication channels with local government stakeholders;
Provide GR support to business expansion and XFN projects in relevant markets;
Establish and promote strong relationships and projects with local industry associations, relevant NGOs and nonprofits.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience managing public policy and/or government relations and advocacy work;
Keen understanding of the political system, institutional environment, decision making processes and the geopolitical, historical and cultural specifics of each market;
Established network of contacts among policy makers and opinion leaders in the markets concerned;
Strong understanding of public policy aspects of, and local government stakeholder approaches to, content moderation, data protection, privacy, IPR protection, and other tech and media policy issues;
Good team player;
Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging [geo]political and regulatory environment;
Advanced written and oral communication skills in Russian and English a must; proficiency in official language(s) of Tier-2 Eastern Europe markets an advantage.
