Responsibilities:
- Consulting clients on various aspects of Russian real estate and construction legislation
- Structuring and legal support of real estate transactions (sale and purchase, lease, mortgage, construction, etc.)
- Conducting legal due diligence of real estate (brownfield and greenfield land plots, facilities under construction, buildings/structures, etc.)
- Advising on legal aspects re land allocation, change of land category, town planning, zoning, development, construction, permits and licenses, structuring of real estate holding and operation, privatization, broad range of matters associated with land, real estate and construction
- Preparation of client deliverables, reports, proposals, contracts and other project-related documentation
- Marketing activities including preparation of presentations, proposals, seminars, etc.
- Administrative functions to comply with internal risk management procedures, etc.
To fill the role a candidate is expected to meet the following requirements:
- Higher education
- At least 4-6 years of proven experience in practicing real estate and construction law
- Background in ILFs, reputable Russian law firms or Big4 is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of real estate and construction law as well as civil law
- Strong research and legal drafting skills
- Fluent English and Russian for working with clients and documentation
- Teamwork and leadership experience
