Citibank is a part of the largest international financial corporation with more than 200 years of history and it is looking for Senior IT Project Manager.
The candidate will play an important role on initiatives that will provide a unique opportunity to gain a broad understanding of many key facets of Citi’s current and future application landscape. The role envisages deep knowledge of IT technologies and proven records of complex and vast business / technological projects realization. A good understanding of the financial services industry, products and data is desired.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Managing one or few banking technology projects in order to realize bank’s business strategy
- Managing project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk
- Creating robust project plans to fit the stakeholders needs and deliver within budget on desired outcomes
- Identifying issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis
- Proactively following escalation and changing control processes
- Identifying, prioritizing and proactively managing dependencies, risks, exceptions and issues
- Effectively communicating with key stakeholders both internal and external to the project
- Developing and delivering presentations to steering committees and senior management covering project status and plans
- Guaranteeing volume and quality documentation to be prepared, both project and technical one
- Organizing and managing project team to achieve project target
- Applying lessons learned from recent projects to future projects
- Providing subject matter expertise for internal queries relating to appropriate projects
Company expects the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and writing
- Strong experience in building engagement with senior management
- PMP certification is preferred, Lean / Six Sigma a plus
- Financial sector knowledge & delivery track record is preferred
- Experience in projects with implementation modern IT and financial technologies
- Understanding high level IT architecture in relation with banking business processes
- Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, and trend analysis
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Project
- Strong English language skills – written and spoken
