An award-winning company in the life science sector, is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Lawyer to join their Russia Legal Team in Moscow in order to support the local business in Russia and CIS.
Responsibilities:
As part of a global legal department, you will be responsible for drafting, revising and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including in particular tech contracts relating to the company’s business offerings mainly in Russia and CIS. In this role, it will be key to ensure that all contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory and corporate requirements. You will also contribute to the development and/or maintenance and improvement of contract templates. The role will provide you with the opportunity to partner with the local business in order to support it to meet its corporate goals and objectives. It is expected that you will proactively monitor any relevant legal developments and identify business risks in order to work with the business to mitigate such risks. This position will further offer you the chance to apply your expertise and experience by assisting with the company’s continuing efforts to further enhance the legal support provided by the local legal team.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be Russian-qualified, have a bachelor and master’s degree in law and 7+ years of post-qualified experience gained in-house or in a reputable private practice, preferably in an international environment. More junior candidates with strong interest or relevant experience in the life science and/or technology industries are also welcome to apply.
The ability to effectively communicate in English (both orally and in writing) and to draft and negotiate legal agreements in English is crucial for the role. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills with the ability and drive to work independently and in a proactive manner with minimal supervision. The client is looking for a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a dynamic personality.
