DiDi is looking for a Senior Communications Manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (PR).
Key responsibilities:
Lead DiDi communications in the region, developing strategies, messaging and tactics to support DiDi business growth and public policy objectives
Provide communications counsel to local teams
Engage in proactive and reactive media relations with media and “new media”
Create and organize content for pitches, releases, and other initiatives
Run the press office including issues management
Come up with creative ideas to push our messages
Supervise local PR agencies work, provide guidance and counsel
Provide analysis and reporting of PR results to a larger team
Required qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a multi-tasker, able to work under time pressure and be quick on their feet, know how to navigate a fast-changing communications landscapes, and have strong strategic instincts
Competitive candidates will have 7+ years experience or more incl. consumer brand communications experience as well as on-the-record media relations experience and good expertise and understanding of “new media”
Experience of working with digital consumer brands with proven success in contributing to overall company goals is an essential plus
Additional experience will include some combination of agency experience and in-house communications experience
Understanding of public policy issues impacting corporate reputation is essential
Creative and analytical thinking
Excellent writing skills (experience in journalism is a plus)
Business-fluent in English
