Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering SCM Solutions and Services for a large sub-department in overall SCM organization.
- Manage a department of 30-50 employees, driving for high results and productivity.
- Own and drive key project delivery on Supply Chain Management topics, etc. Directly or via team drive projecs thought:
- Create and executes projects/programs, resource and budget/forecast plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project/programs, coordinating activities across a wide group of internal, external and business teams.
- Determine project governance and decision making structure. Establishes project roles and responsibilities and provides team members with clear direction.
- Setup proper communication plans, risk management, budget/forecasting, etc. Tracks and reports monthly budget accruals and variances.
- Take on scope as defined in the overall program strategy, but look proactively on how overall project scope aligns, adapts and even shapes strategic direction.
- Work with resources to track progress toward key milestones and bridge the communication gap and report on status/progress, challenges, and issues to Program Mgmt team.
- Comprehensive handover of projects to the support teams; proactively follow-up on post deployment of projects to ensure stability and effective project closure.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Manage overall department and project resourcing, driving evolution and growth of employees and engaging third party suppliers for outsourced services as needed.
- Take proactive role in driving strategy and roadmap for department, constantly pushing to enable the business to the next level.
- Drive strong Business Solution mindset, offering and enabling business solutions, not just a simple SCM service provider.
- Enable department goals through strong cross-functional and global collaboration.
- Create and present to variety of stakeholder groups from strategy, vision and roadmap, to also regular project status and business solutions recommended.
- Act as a key team lead, reporting into Vice President SCM Emerging markets and CIS.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of and passion for Enterprise processes with focus on Retail and digital consumer space.
- Extensive experience eliciting and building project frames, creating business solution and business requirements from stakeholders in facilitated sessions and/or personal interviews.
- Possess strong skills in relationship/stakeholder management, technical aptitude, understanding core SCM processes, etc.
- Mindset of entrepreneurial thinking and anticipating new capabilities not even requested but also being able to execute and deliver in large, global company environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and documentation skills.
- Strong understanding of systems and business processes as well as experience working with application data and data relationships.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience as a Director SCM in consumer-facing businesses.
- 7+ years experience leading large SCM Projects or Programs in SCM consulting or industry (with an excellent track record; experience in warehouse management, transport logistics is a must, in e-commerce is a big advantage).
- Deep content knowledge and implementation experience in consumer technologies (e.g. e-commerce, point of sale, store operations, etc.).
- Formal training or certification preferred in Project Management methodology and software development/implementation life-cycle.
- Strong customer focus and management of client expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the group.
- Bachelor Degree equivalent in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or similar field of study
