About the role:
Job Purpose:
- Overall responsible to plan, build, maintain and decommission the IT Infrastructure components (in consultation with Global Teams for Connectivity, Data Center, Hosting and Digital Workplace Services)
- End-to-end ownership of IT Infrastructure (country) topics to ensure proper prioritization and closure of items
- Interface with the various suppliers to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of services
- Support infrastructure operational and build capabilities for all business units in the country and be the custodian of the IT Infrastructure on the ground
- Act as the strategic interface between senior business leadership and Sandoz IT for assigned markets or business functions
- Partner with global technology functions to support the execution of strategic programs and global technology solution deployment in the markets
- Maintain business critical local system landscape with associated services and adhere to global technology standards
Major Accountabilities:
- Single-point-of-Contact for the supplier of Country IT Infrastructure and services
- Ensure that local teams and vendors deliver maintenance, troubleshooting and service delivery according to Sandoz standards
- Communicate and establish upcoming IT Infrastructure changes to the local communities
- Support and ensure compliance to the defined IT Governance controls, standards, and practices
- Accountable for managing suppliers as applicable in ensuring they deliver quality services and meet all contractual obligations. Tracks actual utilization of services and reporting of supplier performance in meeting business service expectations and service levels
- Manage strategic relationships with senior leadership of assigned markets/functions and serve as a key point of contact and trusted advisor/business partner for all IT topics
- Maintain technology programs, support maintenance of local application portfolio and roadmap for assigned markets/functions
- Address business demand by capturing high level technology requirements x-functionally, developing business case and support prioritization by value management
- Represent end-to-end Sandoz technology functions in the overall local business engagement and governance
Ideal background:
- University degree or comparable in computer science or similar
- 5 years of IT experience in operations and system management
- More than 5 years of experience in Service Management or Engineering of a local IT infrastructure portfolio across multiple business areas, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
- Track record in delivering local projects on time, quality, and budget
- Ability to understand global and local business strategic direction and requirements in a multi-country, multi-cultural and matrix environment
- Relevant experiences in life science industry
- Experience in project management and Agile product delivery desired
