The Regional Compliance and Bran Protection Manager oversees and advises on compliance and brand protection requirements at Cisco Russia, in alignment with, and at the direction of, the broader global Company compliance and brand protection programs. The position ensures that the management and employees are accountable and in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that Cisco remains in compliance in the country and meets the company’s standards of conduct.
Compliance-related duties:
Oversee the country compliance program by:
Supporting the management to promote a culture of compliance;
Providing input on interpretation of local compliance requirements and controls;
Assisting in maintaining and reporting of compliance requirements and controls;
Monitoring management and employee compliance with relevant rules and regulations and company policies and standards of conduct
Reporting to the General Manager, Compliance boards and internal Compliance committees
Compliance risk assessment processes, reviewing results with the senior management, and implementation of compliance mitigation plans.
Support the on-going monitoring of risks and issues; facilitation of remediation processes, including identifying action owners, timelines, and resolution plans for critical issues.
Maintain the regular cadence of compliance meetings with the senior management and cross-functional communications.
Work with relevant Company functional organizations in defining compliance procedures, communicating compliance requirements to the responsible parties, and monitoring implementation of the procedures.
Communications with regulatory authorities on compliance topics upon request, and when relevant and obtaining clarifications on new legislation.
Engaging with legal, finance, human resources and other cross-organizational compliance counterparts to assist with program recommendations based on the evolving local legislative and regulatory environment. Provide the requested support on compliance issues to cross-functional teams, including but not limited to internal audit, legal, tax and operations.
Support external regulatory audits.
Support compliance trainings as well as developing county-specific compliance training.
Support the local country data protection and privacy framework with alignment with the global corporate program.
Lead implementation of anti-bribery and corruption and conflict of interest controls.
Support the local country sanctions and trade compliance program, liaise with Global Export Trade team.
Brand Protection-related duties:
General program management of investigations involving diversion fraud & secondary market within Russia/CIS (data analysis, coordination with multiple groups, partner audits etc.)
Providing support and policy guidance to sales / channels, channel partners and end users within the territory
Establishing an excellent working relationship with management representing all relevant functions within the geography (Sales, Legal, Finance, etc.)
Support of sales and channel governance meetings
Taking a proactive approach to managing Brand Protection issues in the territory while maintaining a timely responsiveness to engagement requests
Assist in counterfeit investigations when required
Should you be interested in this role, you should come with:
Detailed knowledge and past experience in compliance manager or risk manager or Brand Protection role (7-10 years’ experience in a similar role)
Previous experience in working for global and a cross cultural team is an advantage
Industry or Sector Experience: Previous experience in a similar role in an IT company is an advantage but not essential
Excellent Communication and presentation skills
Ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate risk-based decision-making
Problem solver who has ability to think outside of box
Good computer skills: MS Office;
Fluent / strong communication skills, both written & spoken in English and Russian
Highly organized and good time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent that demonstrates strong legal/compliance/controlling/finance acumen
Demonstrated excellence in academic, professional and/or personal endeavors
Certifications in compliance and/or risk management.
