IKEA is searching for a Regional Business Navigation Manager (Volga Region).

 

What you'll need to have:

  • ​Previous management experience in a financial/commercial role with proven analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong commercial business knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of how sales and gross margin is optimised in the different sales channels and how to measure commercial success
  • Experience of setting and implementing action plans, setting budgets, providing clear direction and following up goals
  • Good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide ranging application in business context
  • Ability to recognise external trends and translate them into business opportunities Good knowledge of project management methodology
  • Strategic, tactical and operational business partner capabilities, with strong analytical skills, combined with ability to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions
  • Strong network and relationship builder both within and outside of the own organization
  • Strong communicator with capacity to influence decisions and create energy and commitment within the organization
  • Ability to handle a constantly changing environment with many different stakeholders and demands
  • Ability to inspire individuals and teams to accomplish organisational goals, and motivate people to perform and grow by providing feedback, coaching, training and career direction
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English

 

What you'll be doing day to day:

  • ​Contribute with expertise input and drive the financial business planning process for the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring that the financial plan is aligned with the Business Plan priorities while involving and creating commitment among stakeholders on performance management and goal setting
  • ​Project and follow up the long-term financial development goals in the assigned area of responsibility by connecting the objectives of the IKEA Direction, Market Penetration Plan and identified business opportunities in the country, and the impact on the profit & loss to reach the defined goals
  • ​Together with stakeholders analyse and evaluate benefits, costs and investments, looking at the business from all relevant perspectives, ensuring a good return on investment and qualitative business cases
  • ​Drive the goal setting process for the assigned area of responsibility by confirming roles and responsibilities, using the goal setting assumptions and confirming key business drivers and strategic initiatives to develop the business plans and achieve goals
  • ​Review and approve the budget/plans in order to ensure the financial frame
  • ​Secure a pro-active, documented and anchored way of working with scenario planning providing fast reactions to performance deviations while optimising the business performance in the short-term for the assigned area of responsibility
  • ​Prepare the business performance follow-up and forecasting process for certain markets in a omnichannel context, in line with the global business navigation year cycle and in close co-operation with the country and market management teams, in order to ensure performance
  • ​Be a pro-active business partner providing the country, regional market management teams, the assigned area of responsibility and projects with the right management reports and analyses, in cooperation with the Business Navigation Business Partners and/or Financial Controlling team, to deliver set goals
  • ​Navigate the assigned area of responsibility towards more effective and cost-conscious ways of working, identifying growth and cost saving potentials through benchmarking, striving for constant improvements, exploring digital capabilities and opportunities, and closing of the performance gap between markets
  • ​Lead, coach and develop the Business Navigation regional team and market teams within the assigned area of responsibility, as well as spread business navigation competences to the other functions in the markets, in order to ensure high performance and succession
  • ​Actively participate and provide expertise to regional/market boards in order to enable performance
