Mirantis helps organizations ship code faster on public and private clouds. The company provides a public cloud experience on any infrastructure from the data center to the edge. Mirantis is searching for a Program Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage one of many project deliveries for Mirantis
- Manage full project life cycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure
- Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
- Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial deployment through implementation
- Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables
- Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
- Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards
- Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes through prescribed change request procedures
- Oversee acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with customers, team members, managers and in-house accountants
- Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news
- Strive to mitigate risks with oversight and anticipation of multiple eventualities
- Manage issues and escalations with impact mitigation in mind and striving for efficient resolution
- Be a proponent of process improvement both at the project and at the wider PMO organizational level
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience
- Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and better listening skills
- Possess a structured approach to work
- Minimum 3 years management experience in the IT field, including development work and interactions with customers
- Fluence in Russian
A Plus:
- Knowledge of K8s and OpenStack is a big plus
- PMP Certifications
- Working knowledge of various industry tools for project management
- Proposal writing experience
