Responsibilities:
- Identification of the product needs of end users and the company as a whole, formulation of measurable product development goals and plans to achieve these goals. (Explanation: Identification of such needs occurs through regular communication with representatives of various business units of the company - primarily with the Marketing Department, as well as with employees of the Procurement Department, the Department of Retail Product Categories, Medical Consultants. Product development goals should be synchronized with the goals of the Marketing Department.)
- Proper prioritization of product functionality and highlighting the key value of the product for the user and for the company as a whole (Explanation: The value of the product for the company as a whole is measured by indicators of volume and profitability of sales)
- Tracking the assortment, technologies and functionality of competitive offers, as well as consumer preferences and trends, preparation and approval of technical specifications (Terms of Reference) for the manufacturer. (Explanation: Conducting competitive analysis implies regular monitoring of the representation and development of products on the market, as well as the best product practices in international markets)
- Search for contract manufacturers, their audit, calculation of GOGS. Forecasting product profitability and development costs payback (P/L). (Explanation: When calculating the payback of development, the costs (investments) incurred for the modification of a standard product or the development of a completely new product are taken into account. These include, for example, the manufacture of original molds or special equipment, as well as test samples of products that are not subject to sale. The return on investment (break-even) is determined by the period (in months) when the total gross margin from sales of the product introduced into the range becomes equal to the amount of investment)
- Ordering and receiving test samples of products. Testing of product samples for compliance with the Terms of Reference, including through the sale of test batches at retail. Collection and processing of information about testing and preparation of a reasoned proposal for the acceptance of a product into the assortment (Explanation: The proposal for the acceptance of a product into the regular assortment should be issued in the form of a separate document containing all aspects of the development: description, purpose of the product, key features (Features that can be the basis for the formulation of a USP (Unique Selling Point), or a unique trade offer) the price of the product, the value of the minimum batch (MOQ), a certificate of the manufacturer, the subject and cost of investment in development, the results of test sales, consumer reviews)
- Building relationships with production sites aimed at long-term cooperation. Constant monitoring of the production capabilities of the sites, as well as their own developments. Assessment of the suitability of the sites' own developments for the development of the entrusted product line. (Explanation: After analysis, the own developments of production sites are drawn up as a separate document and can serve as a product initiative to form a decision on the acceptance of such a product into the assortment)
- Preparation of packaging (together with the Marketing Department, Quality Department) and related documentation (manuals, operating instructions), preparation of information for certification documents
- Control of product manufacturing and quality of the first batches at manufacturing site (Explanation: at this stage, documentation is compiled that fixes the parameters of the manufactured product, as well as an initial list of possible defects is determined, which will then be issued in the form of a quality agreement)
- Training and consulting of the company's employees and partners on product issues. Post-sales support: creation and replenishment of the FAQ on the product group, answers to consumer questions, interaction with the Corporate Knowledge Center. Analysis of users` feedback. Making decisions about product upgrades/modifications. Maintaining a knowledge base about the product (manufacturer's contacts, development history, price dynamics, order history, history of quality claims). Ensuring continuous product improvement
