The role is responsible for executing the regional strategies as well as developing local procurement strategies for defined areas as raw material and packaging supply, services, spares, non-production procurement to secure supply and stakeholder expectations. The role works closely with strategic procurement and business partnering to ensure best-in-class services in a timely manner. Also, the role collaborates with all company department to ensure process standardization, system efficiency, and compliance with internal/external regulations as well as continuous improvement throughout the Procurement Operations organization.
The Procurement Operations Director is responsible for leading Procurement department within the entire organization.
Main tasks:
- Design procurement strategy for Russia and CIS and ensure compliance
- Ensure the segregation and cooperation approach between procurement functions is clearly understood by the team
- Drive local procurement strategies to mitigate risk, secure supply, generate cost saving/avoidance initiatives as well as value creation and bundling opportunities within the cluster and region
- Align with business partnering to fulfill Manufacturing’s requirements and priorities, as well as priorities of other functions based on spendings analysis
- Control and reduce supply base for categories
- Develop and secure SLA fulfillment and guide the procurement team to reach KPIs
- Facilitate buying channel strategy and identify opportunity to contract volume and reduce ad-hoc buy
- Regularly work with the team to review spend per supplier cross production sites within the region to identify synergy opportunities
- Closely work with legal and accounting department teams to increase contract compliance for the local categories
- Standardize processes and procedures to allow the team performing same task cross different sites
- Increase team's flexibility to allow cross sites if needed
- Ensure best practice sharing across sites
- Chase Procurement Excellence in open resources to deliver continuous improvement and develop reports
- Identify business/organizational needs and anchor it for further process development
- Identify improvement opportunities to further raise digitalization and system efficiency
- Identify available IT solutions to ensure efficiency improvement in procurement operation
- Run regular feed back collection sessions with stakeholders within organization with follow up ensured
