Japan Tobacco International is looking for a Procurement Director.
Purpose:
This position leads
- The Direct & Indirect Procurement organization and operations of four factories in Russia
- The management of spend categories: production materials, CapEx, spare parts, factory services, logistics and warehouses services, production supplies, etc.
- The definition and implementation of procurement strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Critical success factors: efficient leadership of the Procurement organization, strong involvement in contracting activities with suppliers, effective management of Supplier Relationship Management to secure supply of goods and services, development and deployment of business continuity plans, support and engagement in product development projects, achievement of defined KPIs and implementation of assigned Supplied Chain and cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Procurement strategies in highly restricted & volatile operating environment
- Develop and maintain long term Procurement plans as well as BCP for Russia
- Perform market research and analysis (leverage supplier market intelligence)
- Lead E2E sourcing activities including strategic negotiations, pricing, and commercial discussions
- Identify and qualify alternative suppliers
- Manage structured Supplier Relationship Management
- Monitor strategic suppliers’ life cycle management
- Participate in financial planning & analysis
- Support NPD projects implementation
- Ensure upstream Supply Chain stability and risk-oriented flexibility
- Contribute to production materials and spare parts inventory targets setting and revision
- Drive sustainability and performance improvement projects
- Implement and manage systems to optimize Procurement activities
Major requirements & skills:
- University Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or similar
- Experience in leading Procurement functions of similar scope
- Languages: fluent Russian & English are required
