Are you interested in the startup ecosystem across different industries? Plug and Play Turkey is looking for its PR & Communication Manager to make industry specific platforms shine across Europe.
Working closely with the Plug and Play Directors across innovation platforms, you will play a major role within the organization. You will be responsible for planning and executing the marketing and communication strategy for Turkey to address two main audiences: startup and corporate leaders. Accordingly, this position works closely with the Sourcing, Program & Corporate development teams through a KPI-driven approach.
Role & responsibilities:
Events:
- Plan and execute, along with the program and operations teams, internal and external events to drive inbound / awareness / brand equity growth through corporate partners, startups, or co-marketing initiatives across verticals
- Following Global events in Plug and Play and reporting to the Director and Partner Success manager
- Following popular events in Turkey, report to the Director to identify sponsorship opportunities
Co-marketing:
- Establish and / or execute co-marketing initiatives with Turkey & international key stakeholders
- Manage the existing relationships and set new ones according to the team's qualified needs and KPIs
Content:
- Writing and producing presentations, press releases, interviews
- Writing and producing offers, contracts
- Managing LinkedIn PNP İstanbul Office Corporate pages, publishing new events and issuing new activities to external audiences
- Coordinate and collaborate with Plug and Play’s European Marketing Team in Valencia to produce content that will be leveraged for different platforms in Turkey
PR:
- Ensure existing and develop new relationships with tier 1 media outlets focusing on innovation in general and on innovation platforms
- Dealing with enquiries, the press, and related organizations, to organize interviews and TV programs
- Helping P&P Director Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations
Education & experience:
- Master degree (school of business or university) with major in marketing
- At least 3 years work experience (excluding internships) in a similar role, preferably in a startup or innovation environment
- Communication: must possess great communication skills (verbal, oral, and written). Must be proficient with public speaking
- Environment: interested in startups, innovation and entrepreneurship
Skills:
- Marketing and communication: must be highly familiar with cross channels strategies leveraging events, content, PR, key opinion leaders etc.
- Strong PR/Press network within the TV and magazine world. Some business and strategy experience is a plus
- Strong social media editing and managing skills
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: must be able to use logical reasoning to reach solutions
- Strategy to execution mindset: you’ll join a small team and will need to zoom-in and out meaning that you’ll be hands on
- Strong prioritization: identify KPI-driven missions then ability to manage several projects addressing various audiences
- Leadership: proven ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, industry ecosystem and contribute to high-impact results
- Self-Starter: ability to start projects or plan events with minimal to no supervision
- Visual Skills: can edit and prepare presentations on tools such as PowerPoint and Key; advanced video editing skills is a must
- Attention to Detail: necessary when editing articles for grammar, punctuation
- Fluent in Turkish and English
