Google is looking for a Policy Lead (Legal Removals, Trust & Safety).
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working in internet technologies, related policy and regulatory environments, and with work regarding the internet, free expression, online safety, and content moderation
- Ability to speak and write in Hebrew fluently
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to review or be exposed to sensitive content as part of our removal flows calibrations and escalation management
- Experience working for or with Data Protection Authorities, Regulators, or Government Agencies
- Experience using data and technology to solve complex business challenges, with the ability to exercise sound decision making
- Experience influencing, working, and negotiating with a broad array of cross-functional stakeholders
- Broad policy experience with knowledge of the technology sector and key policy challenges affecting the internet, including free expression and online safety
- Ability to speak and write fluent Turkish an/or Russian
Responsibilities:
- Analyze policy and legal challenges facing technology platforms and make recommendations on how Google should address them
- Develop, launch, and enforce scalable policies and processes for handling legal content removal requests from the Israel
- Serve as a strategic advisor and liaison to cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Public Policy, Trust & Safety, and Engineering
- Partner with technical teams to drive and coordinate the development and maintenance of Legal Removals tools and processes.
