About the team:
You will be part of a nine-person global People Business Partner function. You will work in close partnership with leaders, Mironeers, and the facilities team in the Sydney and Tokyo hubs, as well as work globally with the People and functional people Business Partner Team.
About the role:
The People Business Partner Generalist is primarily responsible for supporting employees and leaders in the various hubs company operates in. You will be the in-region lead on various stages of the employee lifecycle from onboarding/offboarding, performance management, compensation reviews, and business-driven initiatives. You will represent the People Business Partner team on in-region people operations related improvements that impact the employee and manager experience and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is organised, curious, data informed, and passionate about continually maturing processes and improving the Miro employee experience. A successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative and agile environment that is in a constant state of moving forward. Outstanding communication skills (verbal and async), time management, and attention to detail are key attributes in this role.
What you’ll do:
- Provide support to employees and leaders in the business: coaching on performance management, employee needs/requests, team engagement, policies, and other People-related topics
- Provide support to your local team during the performance review lifecycle by contributing to the talent reviews, talent assessment, and follow-ups
- Analyse data from various sources to identify patterns and trends that can help create, improve processes or identify areas of concern
- Partner with your function, cross-hub People Business Partners on larger projects and organisation changes
- Be the voice of your hub to identify and action continuous improvement of HR programs and processes that enhance the overall employee and manager experience
- Manage employee off-boarding process including HR systems workflow, communication with employee, exit interviews/processes
- Partners with People Operations to act as local advisor to employees in question such employee data and benefits issues
- Complete processes and project work to maintain compliance in your hub
- Ensures People data is up to date in the region and produces regular and ad-hoc reports for the leaders your support
- Develop and support local hub programs and initiatives
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree required and 3+ years of relevant experience of 5 years human resources experience
- Proficiency and ability to quickly learn and utilise technologies
- Comfortably and effectively communicate cross-cultures in various mediums to a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to toggle between strategic and tactical thinking and doing
- Excellent presentation, organisation and follow-through skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Ability to effectively respond to consecutive and changing priorities
- Experience in analysing data from multiple sources to provide people insights
- Experience in a growing, global software environment is preferred
