The Operational Director is directly responsible for the overall operations and functionality of Brookes Moscow, Brookes Saint Petersburg & Brookes LIFE Kindergarten.

Reporting to: The Director of School

 

ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

This is an Executive Committee position that requires full accountability for all operational and commercial activities; thus, it requires complete confidentiality with the Director of School and Board of Directors.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To oversee the day to day operational services & functions of the schools;
  • To supervise all staff of the operational department (see below the functions);
  • To manage maintenance of operational systems that deliver outcomes based on the school’s aims and goals;
  • To oversee the purchases, services required and budgets of all operational departments;
  • To ensure the implementation of different policies and practices on operations in accordance with the current legislation and communicated to all people;
  • To ensure a safe environment for the stakeholders of the schools to provide a secure environment in which due learning processes can be provided;
  • To recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development for the organization;
  • To oversee and ensure that all forms of marketing & communication match the vision and mission of the schools and group;
  • To be responsible for the management of school lettings and fundraising initiatives;
  • To oversee and ensure that enrolment meets the required levels as set;
  • To oversee and ensure the customer service and efficiency are central to the successful functioning of all related departments;
  • To oversee and ensure the continuity of informational technology remains constant and the provision is of an adequate level;
  • To works within the Executive Committee to oversee organizational reviews;
  • To guard all assets and reputation of the school and ensure truthfulness in all public communications;
  • To support the Director of School with all external partnerships and projects.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

The Operational Director manages all employees of the operational departments in both campuses in Moscow and Saint Petersburg — these are to include, but are not exhaustive:

  • Marketing & Communications;
  • Admissions;
  • Facilities, Services & Logistics;
  • Information Technology.

 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Non-regular working hours in accordance with article 101 of Labor Code with the compensation of additional days off of extra 7 days. 5/2, Monday through Friday, normal period from 8:00am to 5:00pm. During school holidays short working hours, normal period from 9:00am to 4:00pm, unless non-regular time extension is required.

 

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some regular out-of-area/country and overnight travel may be expected.
