Miro is an online collaborative whiteboard platform that enables distributed teams to work effectively together, from running brainstorming sessions and workshops to planning projects, from designing new products and services to facilitating agile ceremonies. Now there are a few vacant positions in the company: Senior Product Designer, Senior Tech Recruiter (Product), Team Lead (Platform, Strategic Integrations), Cross-Device Experience Engineering Manager, Senior Product Manager (Whiteboard Experience), Senior Product Manager (Strategic Integrations), Product Director (Whiteboard Experience), Group Product Manager (Cross-Device Experience).

 

1. Senior Product Designer.

About the role

As Senior Product Designer in the Horizontal Product design team you’ll be working on the core UI of our product. Miro boards are where users create, organize, view and interact with a broad range of widgets, containers and various other items. You will work closely with product management and design leadership to identify and solve user pain points as well as find new opportunities to create delightful interactions that will make users feel empowered and successful in using the product and exceeding their expectations.

You will need to balance user needs with business goals, figuring out the hypothesis and validating them with design solutions. You’ll have an intense collaboration with product, research and data experts to make data-informed decisions, as well as with engineering to find the best way to validate the hypotheses, and to build features effectively in a fast-moving pace whilst maintaining a high bar of product quality.

What you’ll do

Formulate hypotheses together with Product Managers and turn them into high-quality design solutions
Work cross-functionally with product management, design leadership, research and engineering to deliver the best possible user experience
Run end-to-end design process for a variety of initiatives within your team
Research on users perspectives, competitive and adjacent products and industry best practices to generate solutions
Design and develop interactive, advanced prototypes to explore, share and validate detailed widget and tool interactions
Create UX deliverables as well as visual and interaction design specs
Validate your solutions with users, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
Collaborate with developers to reach high-quality implementation
Measure the success of your decisions with the team and iterate when needed
Help to grow our design team, improve processes, participate in broader design team topics and activities and mentor folks

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in product design (experience with productivity apps preferred)
Experience with a data informed and metrics driven design process, paired with creativity and original thinking
Ability to define and articulate design vision and strategy
Experience with creating complex, multi-input-mode interactions, experiences and end-to-end flows, prototypes, with high-fidelity visuals
Analytical and methodical, systematic thinking
Advanced prototyping skills, basic coding knowledge preferred
Planning, designing, running and analysing User Research activities
Effective written and verbal communication
Confident, clear and convincing presentation skills
Empathic with broad spectrum of user types
Engaged cross-functionally collaboration mindset to deliver the best possible user experience.

 

2. Senior Tech Recruiter (Product).

About the role

We are looking for a passionate, purposeful, Senior Talent Acquisition professional with a high level of self-responsibility and drive who would like to join our international recruiting team and build our Tech hub in Amsterdam and Berlin.

As a Senior Tech Recruiter you will partner closely with hiring managers across the globe to align on hiring needs, you will keep on improving effective candidate selection process to provide our teams with the best talents, who match Miro’s high bar for performance, potential, and our values.

Miro is in a hyper-growth stage — we are scaling up rapidly, hence you will be part of building our Amsterdam hub, contributing with your ideas, practices and sharing these exciting times with the team.

What you’ll do

Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and grow their organization
Source, attract and close candidates for multiple senior and IC roles within Product domain
Proactively identify pain points and implement best practices/ process improvements and tools for attracting and selecting A-players
Constantly network with candidates and provide a best in class candidate experience
Support the team in participating in talent acquisition events (conferences), networking, HR-marketing activities

What you’ll need

Extensive experience with full-cycle recruiting in a hyper-growth environment
Experience with recruiting a wide range of senior and IC hard to fill tech roles (product managers, Group PM’s. Product Directors, etc)
Experience with managing a large amount of stakeholders in a complex organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven abilities to attract passive candidates and build a diverse pipeline through sourcing
Ability to use data to tell a story and inform decision making
Think critically, adapt easily to changing priorities, optimize their own time and enjoy collaborating.

 

3. Team Lead (Platform, Strategic Integrations).

About the role

As a Team Lead, you will build and lead a team responsible for integrating Miro into large and highly strategic partner platforms in the collaboration and productivity space. You will participate in the design of technical solutions, ow team outcomes, and support the continued growth and effective scaling of Miro’s Platform team

What you’ll do

Building and leading the Strategic Integrations team (people management, hiring, process development and interfacing with other teams)
Technical management (backlog prioritization and ownership of team outputs)
Develop the processes and practices of the Miro Platform Apps and Integrations teams to support long term growth

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software engineering experience and 2+ years of leading teams. Experience building cross-domain apps on top of SaaS platforms (Atlassian, Salesforce, etc) preferable.
Frontend development: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
Backend development in major languages (Node.JS and Java preferred). Experience with authentication, REST API and databases (SQL/noSQL).
Preferred experience with microservices
Strong cross-team communication skills.
Planning and prioritization skills.

 

4. Cross-Device Experience Engineering Manager.

About the role

Engineering manager for Cross-Device Experience will be accountable for the entire Miro Cross-Device engineering strategy (mobile, tablets for all popular platforms: iOS, Android, winRT and native apps for desktop, big screens like Surface Hub and others) and keeping it in line with the overall company’s product and engineering roadmap. You will build and scale engineering organisation for supporting cross-device experience, set up engineering processes and deliver high-quality outcomes with your org in a timely manner

What you’ll do

Grow and lead Miro cross-device experience org
Develop, communicate and execute technical strategy and roadmap for cross-device experience
Contribute to the overall company’s technical product strategy, align it with the cross-device roadmap
Build and scale operational processes in the within cross-device org and contribute to the overall engineering practices
Develop teams, talents and leaders within your organization
Communicate strategy, tactics, and progress to the team and stakeholders

What you’ll need

10+ years in software engineering, 7+ years engineering and people management experience, SaaS B2B/B2C2B companies prefered
Proven experience building cross-device experience (mobile & tablet for iOS, Android, WinRT)
Proven experience building engineering function (15+ people)
Proven experience managing distributed teams
Strong prioritization and project management skills, understanding of business impact for various solutions
Result focused, data-driven engineering strategy development skills
Good understanding of product requirements and ability to align with technical strategy
Strong execution skills in cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders
Understanding engineering architecture and trade-offs
English is the main communication language at Miro, Russian is a plus for communicating with remote team.

 

5. Senior Product Manager (Whiteboard Experience).

About the role

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for one of the major areas of Whiteboard Experience, driving its strategy, breakthrough user experience together with Design and User Research, and the development of underlying technical architecture together with Engineering.

We’re looking for a person fond of interaction design who combines a passion for innovation with strong execution skills and can build a structured, measurable, and fast-paced approach to make user interaction with the board easier and more intuitive.

What you’ll do

Develop a strategy and a roadmap for one of the major areas of Whiteboard Experience and drive its execution
Build a rapid innovation process together with Design, Research, and Engineering
Set up a structured and measurable approach for continuous improvement of user experience
Package the solutions to tell a cohesive story to the market together with Product Marketing
Guide the development of underlying technological foundations together with the whiteboard engine teams

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional experience managing software products, preferably productivity SaaS
Strong track record of bringing success in products with a high bar in user experience and complexity
Deep understanding of user experience, interaction design, and usability
Deep understanding of software engineering and ability to drive technical decisions together with Engineering and Data Science
Experience in implementing a data-informed approach to the product
Strong prioritisation skills and an execution-focused mindset

6. Senior Product Manager (Strategic Integrations).

About the role

As a Senior Product Manager in the Platform team, you will manage the integration of Miro with large and highly strategic partner platforms in the collaboration space. We want to ensure that Miro is available wherever and whenever it’s needed, regardless of your choice of collaboration, messaging, and productivity platform.

What you’ll do

Identify opportunities to integrate Miro into the workflows of companies globally by partnering with key B2B software vendors
Work closely with Miro’s strategic partnerships team to engage with these vendors, and build strong relationships with your counterparts in their product teams
Work with a co-located Product team, and external developers, to design and develop custom integrations that seamlessly add Miro’s whiteboard capability to partner products and services

What you’ll need

3+ years Product Management experience, preferably working on platforms, or in partner centric organisations
Experience collaborating with external software vendors or development agencies
Strong track record of building high quality products, that effectively service the needs of both customers and the business
Comfortable engaging in detailed conversations about strategy and product design with both non-technical and technical audiences
Can prioritise competing user and business needs, and articulate a clear rationale for this prioritisation back to affected stakeholders
Enjoy working with cross-functional teams, and collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders, including partnerships, marketing, and developer relations.

 

7. Product Director (Whiteboard Experience).

About the role

As a Product Leader for Whiteboard Experience, you’ll be responsible for scaling the stream with great new talent, setting up the stream’s ways of work and strategy, and making the next big leap in user experience and value of the product.

We’re looking for a leader with a proven track of bringing design and tech innovations to users, who is capable of making bold strategic decisions, and who can build a tight loop between product, design, research, and engineering to speed up the creative process and product delivery.

What you’ll do

Develop a strategy of ramping up Miro growth and building a competitive advantage on the heating upmarket by the Whiteboard Experience advancements
Lead existing and set up new teams for all mission-critical areas of the Whiteboard Experience
Be a leading product person of Miro in Berlin who attract new talents to the team
Build a rapid innovation process together with Design, Research, and Engineering
Set up a structured and measurable approach for continuous improvement and maintenance of a high bar of user experience
Guide the development of underlying technological foundations together with the Whiteboard engine teams

What you’ll need

7+ years in product management, 5+ in leadership, 5+ working on products with a high bar of user experience and complexity
Proven track record of innovative design/tech solutions, strong strategic decisions, and achieving product success
Deep understanding of user experience design and crafting human-computer interaction
Very structured thinking to guide complex product and architectural decisions
Experience of working in a hyper-growth environment with rapidly scaling the teams
Being a true team player, inspiring and empowering the team, and nurturing a healthy relationship throughout the company
Experience in Enterprise SaaS, productivity, or graphical software is a plus.

 

8. Group Product Manager (Cross-Device Experience).

About the role

As a product leader for Cross-Device Experience, you’ll be accountable for product, technological, and go-to-market strategy, building the team, and delivering best-in-class user experience.

We believe that touch experiences are the most natural for whiteboarding and have the potential to become the most easy, intuitive, and delightful way of working with Miro. That’s why we are looking for a leader that is capable of bringing true innovations in human-computer interactions and has deep hands-on experience of building and growing mobile products.

What you’ll do

Develop and maintain product, technological, and go-to-market strategy for Cross-Device Experience in partnership with design, engineering, and marketing leaders
Grow Miro on tablets, smartphones, and other platforms to ten-fold monthly active users
Scale the Cross-Device Experience stream from one to several teams
Drive cross-functional collaboration and define principles, tools, and processes for collaboration with other teams and departments
Continuously work on improving product development process to optimise time-to-market and product quality
Be an advocate for best-in-class user experience and push the team towards it

What you’ll need

6+ years of product management experience, 3+ in mobile apps, 3+ in people management
Strong track record of achieving product success
Proven experience in delivering products with a high bar in visual design and user experience
Deep understanding of UX patterns, technology stacks, and growth strategies for different mobile platforms
Experience of building functions (teams of teams) and cross-team/cross-functional collaboration from scratch
Leadership and operational skills to inspire teams and empower them to achieve stretching goals.
