YouTube has announced a position of a Market Responsibility Specialist (Trust and Safety).
About The Job
As a Market Responsibility Specialist supporting Russia, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are constantly growing our understanding of regional and local trends and risks on YouTube. You will proactively monitor trends and intelligence sources, help to launch product features with market and language knowledge, and ensure our enforcement guidelines are informed by your market knowledge.
You’ll help implement and enforce our policies across many pieces of content videos, as well as define and implement operational plans globally, liaising and working with stakeholders in areas like Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, Public Policy, Public Relations, Partnerships, and Legal. In this role, you may review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content during team escalations in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in Project Management on cross-functional projects.
Experience working with Product Management and Engineers to drive progress on key programs.
Ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
Effective analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive strategy and business action.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to speak and write in any additional European, Middle Eastern, or African language fluently.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with the history, local politics, media landscape, culture, and context of Russia.
Ability to speak and write in English and Russian fluently.
Responsibilities:
Triage risks, prepare risk assessments of threats and action plans based on gathered market knowledge and cover regional events and escalations. Act as the main point-of-contact to ensure they are triaged, tracked, investigated, resolved, and communicated accurately.
Drive and support the launch of news related product features, as well as responsibility projects in the region.
Partner with vendor partners to improve the quality of the regional language workflows, developing training materials, and running regular calibration sessions.
Review graphic, controversial, and offensive video content during team escalations in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
Monitor intel sources to identify market trends and operating patterns that could pose a threat; support identification and vetting of external partners.
