Google is looking for a Managing Director of Partnerships (Google Play).
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience in mobile app ecosystems, digital platforms, or other relevant areas
- Experience working in a globally-scaled Product, Sales, and Engineering environment
- Experience managing distributed teams
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree
- Experience successfully leading and developing a partnerships team with increasing responsibility
- Experience addressing policy, regulatory, and legislative issues
- Experience negotiating and solidifying strategic partnerships and renewals
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive business partners and advocate for partners, clients, and the business with good business judgment
- Established network of executive industry relationships with the ability to take initiative

You’ll lead the regional organization, accelerate the success of partners on Google Play, and encourage the growth and adoption of Android platforms and products in EMEA
- In this role, you will work cross-functionally to help Google Play apps and games partners improve their reach, retention, and growth and work with government relations, communications, and legal teams to anticipate and address issues. You will work with the central operations teams to deliver scalable solutions, and ensure more partners can succeed on Google Play
- To ensure products and services meet partner needs and ecosystem remains safe and trusted, you will invest in creating long-lasting relationships with partners. You’ll cultivate these partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of Google's ever-growing suite of offerings to drive their own success

As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a multi-year ecosystem strategy in the region to accelerate success of apps and games developers, defining priorities and building systems to track and report progress
- Build on Google Play’s global strategy and lead teams across multiple offices in the region to support the growing business
- Be a strategic partner to the Google EMEA leadership team to drive cross-Google strategy and lead change in the region, including people, processes, and systems
- Drive initiatives for Google Play in EMEA by actively influencing various stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization
- Ensure consistent policy guidelines and enforcement. Work with other teams to anticipate local changes and ensure Google Play is always prepared to respond
