А fintech company PayPal has opened a position of a Legal Counsel.
Responsibilities
To provide effective and business oriented legal advice and support to all PayPal business and functional units and country teams including Merchant Services, Financial Products, Strategy, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, Core Payments, Mobile and M&A activity in Russia and other territories as required.
To manage the provision of legal advice from external lawyers and other specialists.
To manage commercial legal matters and corporate secretarial matters (meetings of the governance bodies and required resolutions).
To be an integrated member of the PayPal global legal team; and to provide appropriate input to legal team initiative and policy development.
Knowledge / Qualification
Approx 6 PQE
Experience with financial and payments regulatory work as an inhouse legal counsel in an international financial institution (including banks and payment systems) or as external counsel in an international law firm.
Specific focus on payments and interactions with the Central Bank of Russia will be a bonus.
Russian qualified lawyer; LLM or other international qualification will be a bonus.
