The Counsel provides support to Abbott pharmaceutical divisions with focus on pharmacies/retail channel ensuring compliance with applicable regulation (Russia & EaEU) and corporate standards. Counsel’s daily duties include legal review and actional advice on wide range of commercial matters, including good pharmacy practices, anti-trust-compliance, advertising and consumer’s rights protection. Counsel reports to Sr. Counsel Pharmaceutical and active member of Legal department.

- be able to acquire promptly after joining a solid knowledge of Abbott businesses and knowledge of the broader business impact
- provide legal services and resolve matters in a manner that effectively manages risk and supports the business
- be able to provide sound, practical advice with decreasing levels of supervision over time
- build strong relationships with business partners based on trust and respect for legal skills and for consistently providing responsive, practical support
- keep abreast of changes in laws that affect client areas; communicates such changes to colleagues; provide appropriate update training to clients
- represent Abbott externally to industry associations, customers, suppliers, competitors or government agencies
- continually assesse priorities and activities to ensure his resources and time are allocated appropriately
Background Experience/Training Required
- at least a law degree in Russia
- 3+ years minimum of experience (both law firm and in-house)
- healthcare, retail or FMCG industry experience would be an advantage
