Job Outline:
- Develop sales strategies for online and offline markets in respective regions. Recommend structural and strategic changes essential to maximise revenue generation, route profitability and effective representation of Aeroflot in such markets as part of the on-going business development initiatives
- Advise Country Sales Managers on developing appropriate area marketing plans to attain their revenue targets, and agree on these plans with the Commercial Cooperation Head and Finance. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of business plans and advise corrective measures and/or new initiates where appropriate. Anticipate potential changes in local market dynamics and drive changes where necessary to ensure Aeroflot positioning is appropriate to market realities
- Offer guidance based on market intelligence to revenue planning to ensure POS revenue targets are challenging and realistic. Present the revenue budget to the Commercial Cooperation Head and the Sales Managers across the region of responsibility
- Ascertain market conditions and review revenue forecasts periodically in light of anticipated changes in the market
- Evaluate potential partnerships and collaborate with Sales Managers and other stakeholders to implement market specifics promotions in alignment with the short/long term regional sales strategies
- Collaborate with Finance and Sales Managers in establishing and approving annual expense budgets for the regions. Influence and implement cost management strategies particularly in the areas of local sales promotions, trade incentives, manpower. Drive GDS cost containment and wastage recovery strategy on a regional and country basis
- Drive the implementation of short and long-term strategic initiatives for each sales area, scrutinising forward booking trends, competitor activities, channel performance and market intelligence. Co-ordinate with Sales Managers and support departments prior to making appropriate tactical on promotional deals in order to stimulate and incentivise underperforming stations and/or create niche markets for Aeroflot on selected routes
- Review and approve annual/quarterly agency incentive agreements for respective sales regions
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Commercial/Sales within the airline industry
- Higher education
- Experience in business development and formulating marketing, sales and commercial strategies, along with proven ability in implementing and driving business strategies across verticals
- In-depth knowledge & expertise related to Sales/Marketing, Business
- Development and driving process efficiencies
- Proven ability to formulate business plans and present proposals that meet Commercial objectives to the Senior Management
- Comprehensive understanding of budgeting and cost management
- Excellent working knowledge of all commercial elements of airline business departments
- Ability to engage with senior management and discuss business and corporate strategies is critical
- Fluent English (second language is a benefit)
- Advanced MS Office user
- GDS knowledge is desirable.
