This is an opportunity for a skilled Senior T&L Accountant to be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Responsibilities:
Controllership and Operational Excellence:
- Drive the highest standards of controllership, accounting & compliance and ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and US GAAP regulations for all T&L activities
- Manage and motivate the team, communicate and translate organizational strategy, mission, and vision
- Collect and store all required T&L accounts payable documentation
- Audit and book T&L related transactions in the ledgers (T&L expenses and VAT recognition) timely, accurately and completely (check T&L reports in Concur, loading data from Concur to 1C, control tickets balances in 1C and write-off them on monthly basis)
- Deduction of T&L amounts net due to company from the employees` accounts based on the T&L reports on monthly basis
- Reimbursement of T&L amounts to employees` accounts based on the T&L reports on bimonthly basis
- Implement effective and efficient monthly, quarterly and annual T&L closing prepared in accordance with GE and US GAAP rules
- Review and develop internal T&L controls across all processes
- Prepare internal reports by requests
Customer Centricity and Internal stakeholders interactions:
- Follow and enforce controllership and compliance policies while maintaining strong working relationship with all external and internal business partners
- Ensure all oral and written interaction with all business partners is at highest professional standards
Data queries:
- Interact and respond to auditor queries, internal and external business queries as necessary
- Effectively support various GE Teams with T&L related AP account and controllership data requests
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Finance/Accounting degree or equivalent
- Experience in T&L and AP processes
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting with Russian Accounting Standards and working knowledge of US GAAP, or clear commitment and willingness to learn US GAAP
- Intermediate or above English skills, both oral and written
- Russian - fluent
- Strong communicate skills – ability to articulate problems and solutions at all levels with finance and other cross functional management based in Russia and Europe/Americas
- Strong IT and financial system skills: Excel super user, 1C or other ERP system experience; ability to learn how to use other internal and external applications
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Self-starter, result-oriented person with ability to work under pressure
