Job Description Summary:
As a Lead FP&A Analyst you'll be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for Corporate, a business, or a P&L within a business. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

 

Essential responsibilities:
The Operations Finance Analyst is responsible for:

  • Driving planning cycles including developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, Blue Print (1-year Plan); OP (operating plan/budget) and / or corporate reporting
  • Responsible for quarterly closing/estimates and develop reliable estimates of sales to operating margin, cash and key working capital accounts; communicate current results and estimates to business leaders
  • Understand, communicate and explain variance drivers within the business. Segment them into unusual, controllable, operating drivers and identify root cause and action owners for each
  • Work with Finance Managers PDx  R&CIS and business leaders to understand & drive opportunities for Growth and managing cost. Lead and provide analytics on strategic initiatives as defined in annual G&O process
  • Identifying risks & opportunities during each quarter and leading team in mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities
  • Supports commercial and operations leaders/teams to understand financial/accounting implications of transactions
  • Maintain the financial ledger of a legal entity in compliance with GAPs and filing requirements
  • Book Journals to make STAT to US GAAP transformation, reflecting financial activities in compliance with above same (may include some or all of: accruals, fixed assets, stock/inventory, accounts receivables, accounts payables, expenses, payroll)
  • Ensure timely and defect-free account reconciliations
  • Ensure all expenses paid & recorded in ERP system, ensuring compliance within SOPs and business/company policies
  • Participate in regular balance sheet reviews and variance analyses, Provide accurate and timely statutory & management reporting, Provide Ad hoc reporting for Corporate/Business requests
  • Partner with GE Corporate Audit Staff and Finance Managers for internal and external GE compliance reviews
  • Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk. Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization
  • Execute on policies and procedures during monthly/quarterly close process including account reconciliations, account reconciliation audits, GE Corporate Data Request (DR) submissions, representation letters and adjusting entries
  • Participate in annual pre-close, quarterly CFO risk reviews and monthly controllership reviews with key operations and financial management personnel
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements 
  • Participate in simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years progressive financial work experience
  • Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generating alternatives and driving position change
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment
  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance function; ability to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Adaptable/flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
  • Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills
  • Russian - fluent, English - advanced
