Mars is looking for an IT Business Partner.
Job Purpose:
Engages with the regional/global functional business leadership teams of his/her area to initiate, shape and agree business solution initiatives with systems implications within a region or globally that are consistent with the overall IT and business strategies across the region, aligned globally
Works closely with both business leaders, Digital Transformation office, global and regional IT teams to define, prioritise and deliver business solution initiatives to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities:
Partners with regional and global business leaders leveraging business knowledge for Supply functions
Participates in Governance meetings at a peer, Director and VP level and creates investment roadmap for project activities within area of responsibility
Consults with key regional and global business leaders, suppliers and other external parties to determine / influence strategic business needs from an IT perspective, providing insights and inputs to the IT strategic business planning process
Partners with key regional business leaders to identify and define how to improve business performance through the application of technology, optimization of information flow and usage of resources, business processes enhancement
Works with global and regional teams in order to determine optimal set of technical / functional platforms and products that would address business needs
Collaborates with Business Solutions Managers in other regions to determine if a solution exists and can be reused and to ensure minimal redundancy and overlaps
Collaborates with business sponsors and managers to create clear outcomes, project scope, approach, and business case , benefit realization & change management strategy
Works with the Global Program Office to facilitate the project approval process with the Global Program Steering Committee
Partners with sponsor and other stakeholders to lead required business change & stimulate / facilitate design thinking / lean start up principles
Determines and recommends concept as a project or enhancements
Defines technical (high level) and functional solution for given business problem, identifies the key data & information dependencies, anticipates how it will scale and be maintained for the future
Ensures architecture and solution design anticipate required internal and external controls (i.e. security, enterprise architecture, GDPR, internal audit etc.)
Works closely with Global Capabilities Managers and Infrastructure to transfer defined and approved project / enhancement work for delivery
Monitors the progression of projects through the delivery phase, working with deployment teams and IT teams in the market
Leads the benefit evaluation process of the delivered solution (ie. was the stated purpose fulfilled, does the solution meet the business needs)
Remains current with leading edge industry and technology drivers and innovations, brings innovation ideas into organization
Educates and upskills peers and stakeholders in digital best practices
Ensures the implementation of company policies and guidelines in alignment with local legal requirements, cultural specifics and business practices
Experience:
Broad understanding of a company’s business and technology strategies and established business process areas and the ways in which technology may impact and enhance business processes
4-6 years of experience in relevant business (IT or business function)
Strong project management skills with familiarity in a variety of tools and techniques
Able to evaluate technology and process alternatives
Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills
Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship with a wide constituency, including business leaders, IT personnel and project leaders
Strong consultative skills, problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.
