This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced HR professional to provide strategic HR direction for the EMEA Consumer Products, Games and Publishing (CPGP) business to support the changing needs of The Walt Disney Company.
The HR Director will work very closely with the SVP CPGP EMEA as a strategic HR business partner, thought partner, and key confidant. They will be a key member of the CPGP EMEA Leadership team and the EMEA HR Leadership team.

This is the division of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) that brings stories and characters to life through innovative and engaging physical products and digital experiences across more than 100 categories, from toys and t-shirts, to apps, books and console games. The business is home to world-class teams of app and game developers, licensing and retail experts, a leading retail business (Disney store and online), artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world.
Areas of Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and implementation of the HR strategy together with the HR Vice Presidents and the SVP CPGP EMEA, taking into account the specificities of the CPGP business
Contribute to the strategic management of the CPGP business
Drive talent planning; identification and management of high potential and leadership talent
Ensure management development and training addresses the identified and agreed business needs
Communicate with, and influence European HR colleagues to ensure consistent application of HR policies in country, whilst being cognizant and sensitive to local employment law and practices
Ensure a consistent and competitive remuneration policy that takes account of local legislation, conditions and markets in relation to Total Reward Strategy, in partnership with Compensation & Benefits COE EMEA and US Compensation and Benefits partners
Coach and develop the HR team to ensure effective contribution to the business now and in the future
Work closely and collaboratively with EMEA HR COEs and the US-based HR teams and partners providing key data and insights
Serve as visible, involved and an engaged leader to employees throughout the organisation
Support and advocate the Diversity & Inclusion agenda for CPGP
Align, where appropriate, with Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution (DMED) EMEA to ensure consistency of employee experience in EMEA, across the different lines of business
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
Professional HR qualification preferred
Significant experience as a well-rounded HR leader operating at board/exec level within an international, highly matrixed organisation
Demonstrable experience acting as a trusted advisor with senior executives in an “influence-without authority” role
Must be an authentic thought partner, with confidence and courage to push boundaries in a changing environment
European HR experience essential
Experience in leading HR change and transformation projects
Strong stakeholder management experience, managing multiple stakeholders across EMEA, and ideally the US
Experience working with the US or within a US headquartered company would be a strong plus
Consumer products, retail and ecommerce industries or any other customer experience-focused sector experience is preferred

Additional Information
Travel to Europe and the US can be required. Location: Home based until further notice, then London office in Hammersmith minimum 3 days per week.
