Role and Responsibilities:
Company is looking for someone with high personal agency, hard-working, and hungry to continue building a stellar recruiting organization

 

Key responsibilities include:
Define and execute on hiring plans for 2021, 2022, and beyond while investing in the processes, technologies, and inclusive candidate experiences necessary for the success and scaling of Speechify’s expected growth
Establish talent acquisition best practices and processes that are rooted first and foremost in inclusivity, while also improving efficiency and maximizing productivity of the Talent Acquisition Team
Coach, empower, motivate, and develop a stellar group of talented recruiting team members. The current team you’ll lead is 3 Coordinators and 3 sourcers (with plans to grow more over the next year)
Ensure the recruiting team is effectively resourced to support hiring goals - modeling capacity and making business a case for incremental investment - and leveraging data and research to track and evaluate team performance
Build trusted relationships with peers and key leadership stakeholders across all business lines. Advise on talent strategies based on a deep understanding of the market, the competition, and emerging industry trends. Support talent resource forecasting and succession planning to ensure proactive candidate pipeline development across all teams
Drive diversity hiring strategies and implementation, and leverage and curate key external partnerships to drive progress toward the company's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion goals
Build a strong employer brand: strengthen company`s presence in the countries in which company operates, organize tech meetups in our offices, and develop a cohesive employer brand voice with the help of the marketing team

 

Professional Qualifications:
4+ years of recruiting experience for a variety of functions, ideally at a rapidly scaling startup
Bias toward execution: tendency to think fast and reiterate
Analytically minded and have a data-driven attitude with an ability to drive suggestions/recommendations based on the insights
Deep insight into recruiting tools, processes and best practices
People person. Have managed a team in the past and have a player/coach mentality. Able to build rapport with teammates across levels and functions
Diversity and inclusion are always top of mind, passionate about making continual improvements in these areas
Experience building or helping to build a strong employer brand

Savvy. You’re curious, expressive, and know how to engage those around you to draw out insights and ideas to boost the quality of everyone’s work
Individual Contributor / Respect. You are excited to contribute as a high-functioning Individual Contributor (IC) as you build and then lead the team, setting the bar for quality and agility. If you don’t want to work as an IC for some of your time in the day this position is not for you
Speed. You work 3x faster than others in your industry, you are extremely creative and can generate a lot of good ideas, you know how to brainstorm and consider it a skill, you know how to tests and decide what should, and shouldn’t, be your immediate focus
Collaboration. You know how to inspire opinionated leaders, negotiate with directors that own divergent goals, and hire and play with passionate ICs
