British speciality chemicals company is looking for а Head of Sales Department (ingredients for personal and home care).
Key Duties:
- Develop, agree, communicate, implement, and review the global/regional/sector business strategy (1-3 years) for the market sector. Allocate and manage resources to deliver the overall business objective.
- Accountable for sales & marketing functional activities for the Home Care and Personal Care sector. Define, agree and decisively implement all commercial policies and related activities, including all aspects of new product launches. Develop senior level contacts within key customers and suppliers.
- Accountable for delivering annual business financial targets, including sales, margins, working capital, commercial fixed costs, and maximum profitability. Gives direction to the sales network, translating departmental KPI's into targets.
- Lead key decisions on pricing, customer priorities, etc. managing potentially conflicting short and long term issues.
- Manages territory priorities and appropriate routes to market. Supports identification of new trends and markets which will impact future performance and requirements for the business.
- Provide line management leadership, coaching and motivation to a team. Set objectives and targets, manage under performance, carry out appraisals, implement bonus schemes, and advise on a local team's pay reviews to maximize sustainable individual and business performance.
- Provides commercial guidance on product support and new product developments, which will impact future performance and profitability of the business.
