Position summary:
The Head of People Functions covers the full People and business agenda, including definition and implementation of the overall CIS people strategy to balance short and long term priorities for our CT and BST teams. The role provides leverage to CIS SL, People Chair and MDP Group and is a full contributing member of the CIS Management Team, acting as trusted advisor to the People Chair and MDP Group, making decisions which are critical to the success of our System with an HR and business perspective. S/he will represent CIS in regional and global People networks and work in partnership with other function heads to ensure excellence of Russia & CIS Business Services Staff.
Job responsibilities:
Manage Russia & CIS People Team strategy and Talent Management
Planning, driving, and executing the Russia & CIS people agenda and strategy across both CT and BST populations in close cooperation with the People Chair and System Leader, addressing improvement areas and closing performance gaps on all People platforms
Drive People Agenda
Work with the CIS People Chair on planning and deliver acceleration of the Russia & CIS People agenda and strategy, defining priorities to enable BCG to attract, motivate and retain the best quality individuals
Be a thought partner to the System Leader, People Chair and the local MDP group on direction and performance of the local office’s business as relates to People and HR related matters
Present key updates and People KPI in regular CIS Management Team meetings and be a sparring partner to the Management Team for our change agenda and talent management
Lead on CT capacity planning and talent management
Lead (in close cooperation with the MDP group) mid-and long-term Consulting Team capacity planning and talent management together with Finance and Staffing function in line with the company’s and system’s financial goals and targets
Support developments in CT Recruiting, drive diversity and senior hiring
Oversee Career Development and L&D for the Consulting Team
Oversee the yearly bonus process for Consulting teams in Russia & CIS
Oversee Career Services, including fostering close links to alumni relations
Oversee D&I initiatives, especially Women@BCG and implement in Recruiting and CD function
Steer/manage selected top priority People agenda initiatives, rolling out global and regional people projects (plan, scope structure the work, steer the progress)
Responsible for Business Service Team FTE planning, operating model, and talent management
Working with Finance teams to manage total BST headcount in CIS System
Oversee BST recruiting, manage BST development committees together with BST MDP and promote forward looking career development processes and practices for CIS staff, including BST upskilling via L&D
Oversee the yearly bonus process for Business Service Teams in Russia & CIS
Together with BST MDP, ensure communication to and engagement with BST staff, working closely with global and regional teams to support BST HR initiatives
Manage Russia & CIS HR function
Team leadership
Oversee all non-Partner HR processes and ensuring a holistic, business-driven approach, flexible adaptation to changing business environment, high competence level and consistency of processes within the teams
Lead local HR and Recruiting, L&D, CD and CS teams, providing leadership to the HR managers, encouraging, and supporting a stimulating work environment
Plan and oversee all budgets related to HR platforms, managing Russia & CIS HR and Recruiting budget
Build, manage, coach, and develop the HR team, ensure HR structure develops to meet future business needs, is effective and efficient, drive implementation of BCG HR best practice from other offices and cross-functional cooperation with other Russia & CIS support functions (Finance, Staffing, Operations, IT)
Provide link with regional and global counterparts, participate actively in regional and global People Team networks
Run and improve HR Operations
Ensure employee information and data is managed appropriately and accurately, including a professional employment contracting practice with adequate documentation
Oversee management of compensation & benefits for all populations working with Finance / Payroll as well as the Global Compensation team
Oversee technical mobility and migration teams
Ensure appropriate legal compliance and risk management in place at local level
Being point of contact for regional and global HR leadership team as relates to Employee Relations, and HR related matters in Russia & CIS
Requirements:
University Degree or equivalent in business, Human Resources or related field or experience in the consulting industry
At least 8–10 years of work experience, preferably HR, in an international, multinational professional services firm or consulting
Experience in Project management, leading an HR and BST team and/or experience in managing consulting teams (Consultant team experience minimum senior PL level)
Familiarity with local labor laws preferred
Fluency in English, Russian
